Congrats to the Chiefs, esp Mahommes.

I seriously expected the Bengals to take over the game in the second half, but as it turned our neither offense looked that good. And I'm sure the stats are going to prove me completely wrong.

Hopefully in the SB we'll see both the Eagles & Chiefs healthy.

I was laughing at Joseph Ossai. After watching him sobbing on the bench I felt sorry for him.

Ex-player Ryans returns to Texans as head coach

Development Ryans is the Texans new HC.

Hiring a former popular player usually appeals to the fans. Hiring a 37 year old defensive coordinator as HC of a team with numerous offensive issues is risky.

Ryans has a decent (partial) defense to work with, now he needs a good OC. I just hope he & Caserio don't waste cap money & draft capital attempting some kind of Win Now scheme.

Bye bye Brady, albeit a couple of years too late.

Don't hold your breath. If the right team with a real shot at making a deep PO run calls Brady.........

Damn autocorrect: DeMeco, not Development, Ryans.

The girls fired a bunch of coaches.

I always felt like one thing after another plagued Frank Reich in Indianapolis. We'll see what he can do with the Panthers.

Wilson, & Sean Payton. You know Payton will attract some good assistants.

Something tells me his marriage situation went deeper than football. Although it can be very difficult dealing with someone who makes their job a very clear number one over their marriage.

Bill O'Brien is back in the NFL as OC & QBC for the Patriots. The same O'Brien who ran the most predictable offense in the NFL, made numerous mistakes trying to find a worthy QB, then drove away the one good QB with his stupid shit trades. Hopefully the Pariots make him GM & let him make all player personnel decisions :) :D :p.

The Broncos offense was a mess under Nathaniel Hacket. So the Jets hired him as their OC. Am I missing something here?

    I don't really have a favorite here.
    Leaning towards the Eagles.
No problem if the Chiefs win.

Highly entertaining game. The stats make it look like a runaway for the Eagles.

I'm trying to find a replay of the very last play, namely to see what happened with Hurts' errant? horrible? pass.

Yeah something happened there...but it was too late anyway.
Take away the defensive holding call and give Hurts 90 seconds to come back and tie or win, that would have been some ending!

If the SB MVP award was ever to go to a player on the losing team, I'd vote for Hurts. If you take away the Strip Six, he had a phenomenal game.

While I think the "What if ..." re the defensive holding call is moot, I do question the call. Throughout the playoffs one of my most frequent rhetorical questions was "What does take for the refs to call pass interference?."

The good news is there are some extremely talented QBs who could conceivably play for another fifteen years each. The bad news is it's unlikely that any one QB, coach, & team will catch Brady, Belichick, & the Patriots.

In regards to the holding call, the player it was called against actually admitted he was holding the WR.

    This is from the official:

It was something that I don't think is always caught and called, but I do think it was a clear foul. Part of the problem is that the broadcast kept showing and talking about the second hold on the play (the left hand across his back) that was much less egregious, instead of the first hold on the play (the right hand tugging the jersey a second earlier). The one time they showed the entire play you could clearly see how that right hand grab impacted the play.

Yes. There was a clear hold.

In the big general picture of how the officials called/didn't call the POs, it seemed nitpicky.
