The big two-faced baby finally went down kickin' & screamin'
    LG has no integrity.

Hope he had his ass handed to him and made him sweat.
The Diva has been needing a come-upance since he assisted in the Clinton Impeachment.

    Two hours?

Am I the only person thinking two hours is way too short amount of time? That perhaps some kind of advance deal was made for specific agreeable/ acceptable questions?

Judge says Trump's political actions around 2020 election not protected by 'absolute immunity' — CNN Politics

    No soup for you!!!

Yes, because no person is above the law.

Anyone could have told ya that.
It’s been drilled into us since we were kids.

Now, it’s one thing out in the streets
    That’s often reality
But having a federal judge sweeping things under the carpet is much less likely odds.

Especially if the whole friggin’ world is watching
And everything is being questioned and reviewed

Sorry T, the fog is lifting
You’re going to burn in the sunlight.

House committee now has access to several years of former President Trump's tax returns

Question - WTF are they going to be able to do in a month???
    His delaying tactic worked.
Now they've got papers, piss on them???

Barely any time for accountants to go over.
They have to be reviewed IN secured special congressional committee. :(

Basically the system is supporting cover up for this guy who uses EVERY method to muddy the waters and hide ALL.

And in the end...Yes, he "might" be jailed.
However...how MUCH damage has been done???

BIGGEST bang for buck, his supporters every got
    - Putin and the other anti-American foreign opposition
    - Anti government groups and anti-tax & anti-regulation rich folk
    - Ultra right extremists and other MAGA and Q like minded madness.
    - and anyone willing to support T being emperor tyrant for life (aka his family and other fascists)

All I can say is we have PATHETIC checks in the SLUG slow system versus presidential abuse.

Let's hope DOJ actually does their job.
Because right now, it's looking like dick. (yes Nixon pun intended)

We rely on an (outdated?) intentionally vague constitution that trusted a person holding the office of POTUS would be of high character, & our balance of powers would keep a rogue in check.

NPD Trump's mix of questionable, unethical, & illegal activities is so huge untangling it is taking forever. Loyal GOP support in House & the Senate, & favorable rulings from judges at various levels have slowed the process further, and we can't leave out politicians (from both parties) wanting & waiting for the whole mess to die down and go away.

    ................
I hope that 20 years from now my health is good and my mind is sharp enough to follow how history explains the NPD Trump era. Right now I get the feeling I won't like what I'll be reading.

    Yes! Another set back for
    NPD Trump.

Appeals court halts special master review of documents seized at Mar-a-Lago in major defeat for Trump | CNN Politics

"The law is clear," the appeals court wrote. "We cannot write a rule that allows any subject of a search warrant to block government investigations after the execution of the warrant. Nor can we write a rule that allows only former presidents to do so."

    F*ck you, Eileen Cannon.

What a great precedent that would've set:
Let defendants control how the evidence
    is provided to the prosecutors.

I'm jaded & cynical. Unless there is some seriou irrefutable evidence, this will go on the towering Circumstantial Evidence Only stack.

Also NPD Trump has openly said if reelected he would consider pardons for any of his supporters facing federal charges. Did that get him in trouble?

Mentioned already in the What's Happening? thread.

It seems that there was some disagreement among panel members. Legitimate concerns, or sourgrapes whining?

I hope to hear & read much more about the Blue Team, which is focused on how various LEAs handled the riot before, during, & after 06 Jan 2021.

Note: When I read the stories I didn't hit a paywall.

But this kind of fine on such blatant corruption, show crime pays.
They get away with 10's, 100's of millions, if not billions over years of crimes and corruption
To get an effective slap on the wrist.

The only thing this "might" do is hurt their rep and prevent more business.
BUT, T's family and cronies are SO audacious and shameless...they'll continue to dup and bilk idiots out of $$$
Using coverup, spin and rebranding to continue.
    SSDD

Only putting them in jail will stop these hustlers.
They're addicted to the scam.

Let's hope this set precedent and others can leverage it to do more serious and substantive cases
With WAY more impact and consequence.

'cause they won't stop 'til popped.

^ I think you're preaching to the choir??? Missing the point that I don't think $1.6M is nearly enough??? **EDIT: I just noticed the Agree rating.**

These wrist slap (gentle slap) fines remind me of fines in the NFL. What is a $35K fine to someone making $8M a year? What is a $1.6M fine to a Corp netting say $100M a year? Note: Trying to figure out just how much the NPD Trump companies make is an ongoing struggle.

We don't have seriously tough laws because very few politicians -- including Democrats -- want to risk losing campaign funds. Prosecutors at the local level might want to really hurt bu$ine$$e$ involved in corruption, but they're handcuffed by state & federal laws.

Here in Texas our trial dodging AG Ken Paxton would never go after any Corp for any reason.

    Damned typos & auto correct.

Trump team finds two documents with classified markings in a Florida storage unit — CNN Politics

Uhhh, do y’think the DOJ is gonna trust a team of T’s lawyers???

    Suuuurre, that’s all they found…

Y’mean the same people that said they returned it all before?
    Actually signed off on it.

Until the DOJ raided Mar-a-lago…and found a trove.

Methinks y’all got another thing coming.
And don’t be surprised at MORE raids.

I wouldn’t blame the DOJ at all
Y’all just a bunch of dirty dog liars
Who don’t know your own client is scamming you.

    T’s got more
    Wanna place a bet???

The article says the DOJ actually DID TRUST
NPD Trump's lawyers to conduct searches at
    four locations without any monitoring.

    WTF?
