I would like to see a GoFundMe setup to pay for commissary items for the other inmates that make his life hell in there. Don't touch him physically, but break him mentally.

Bannon's guilty conviction on two counts of "contempt of congress" (one for not producing docs on the date designated in the subpoena and one for not appearing for deposition on date designated in the subpoena) carries both a statutory minimum (one month) sentence and a statutory maximum (one year) on each count.

I would expect he might get more than the minimum but far less than the maximum; maybe in the range of 2-3 months on each count or up to 6 months when sentenced in October. Unless he wins an appeal before then.

The next home for Bannon will likely be FCI Cumberland. He should ask for the same cell as crooked Republican lobbyist Jack Abramoff who served four years at FCI Cumberland not too long ago.

List and prices of items sold at the commissary in FCI Cumberland :)

A Sunday Miracle: Fox News Audience Exposed to Jan. 6 Truth During Liz Cheney Interview

As Fark said, Tip...if you're a Fox News rep...don't ask Liz Cheney for opinion. :D
Talk about not getting your narrative across.
Liz shredded them apart...quick, intelligent, articulate. She had an answer for everything. Logical, patriotic, common sense...and the TRUTH. Not one bit of bullshit.
Just not what Fox or any T supporter wants to hear.

Now, Bret Baier isn't Fox's most rabid hound dog, but he did try to get the talking points of his news across.
It's just that she boomerang'ed them proving each point of her own. (and the whole point in the first place...finding out what REALLY happened and if T and cronies were at fault)

Too bad she plays for the Dick Dastardly team...she's talented.
but she IS helping the nation...and that's what counts here.

‘Kind of Wild/Creative’: Emails Shed Light on Trump Fake Electors Plan

If evidence like this and other things previously released isn't proof of sedition, I don't know what is...
The DOJ has got to prosecute...I don't care what flexibility the prez has...they're not allowed to overturn an election.

    Question is...how fast???
Probably not in time for this election, considering their pace...but definitely before 2024...and the primaries before that.

Maybe T could be tried under "Crying 'fire!' in a crowded theater" premise...provoking endangerment.

    That's how fast... :)
Justice Department Asking Witnesses About Trump in its Jan. 6 Investigation
Donald Trump Criminal Investigation—What We Know So Far

Guess I was wrong on the timing...but do ya blame me? The DOJ has been lingering on this for a long time.
(a year and a half since the event...much less efforts before that - 2 years since T started the plan)
Hope it rages forward like a wildfire now.

Team Trump's legal lightweights could hand Merrick Garland his biggest win

Now that would be funny, that the lawyers for T would be punished too for unethical acts.
They may be incompetent, but they're good at delaying and distracting.
However they're protecting someone who's a poor client. (guilty, says aloud legally bad things, didn't cover tracks well, ego gets in the way of strategy, etc)
So they're doing things they shouldn't to keep getting paid and cover him. (and the multitude of cronies)

    Hope they're ALL sweating.

I sincerely hope that actions taken by the DOJ do not end up requiring approval in the the Senate.

Challenges reaching the SCOTUS will be interesting, & probably not in a good way.

I just learned about the Electoral Count Act, but I don't know how much of that plan is "actually" against the law. Especially if the State supreme Court would have ruled on it, and then the current Supreme Court would have found it to be unconstitutional since it wasn't what the founders intended.

Trying to close every possible loophole and cover every possible issue is impossible. Unfortunately challenges the Electoral Count Act would (most likely) end up being heard by the SC.

I don't like the Electoral College system because it gives large states too much say in our Presidential elections, & allows candidates who didn’t win the popular votes to become POTUS. Yes, this is a common oversimplification.

Nope Senate can't do anything...totally separate. Neither Wing can.
Senate only approves candidates...House can affect them more with funding $$$

but you're right...it's just judges at all levels that can stop or delay things...like they've done in the states.

    ------

    Meanwhile...it IS expanding further.
Jan. 6 committee expands interest into possible use of the 25th Amendment against Trump with Mnuchin and other Cabinet interviews | CNN Politics

YES! Yes, they should interview anyone in this matter.
Of course you should ask about potentially invoking the 25th!
It's not like that comes up everyday...
If POTUS was unstable enough that you even considering it...THAT should be looked into.

ANYONE who's unstable enough to potentially throw out, should be inquired. But ESPECIALLY the President.
    Duh!

His cabinet should be ashamed for hiding it and moving on without alerting other leaders.
ALL of them put the country at risk.
They're doing it NOW by not calling out the insane man. (who may be on the ballot again...and even NOW muddying the waters and instigating sedition)
    This is Ridiculous! :eek::confused::oops:

There probably should be some mechanism for Congress and the Supreme Court to call for a vote of the cabinet members to decide if the 25th amendment should be used. It seems like that is a problem. When you have cabinet members resigning or getting fired is a problem too, if the President wants to put loyalists in.

This stuff should have been a movie script, not real life...

You can bet good money we're going to see several* movies based on NPD Trump and/or the Jan 06, 2021 insurrection.

    * Many if you include documentaries.

Hmmm, an interesting thought: As XPotus, as a voluntary public figure, NPD Trump should be open to all kinds of nasty but fair criticism without legal recourse. That should cause him some great unhealhy irritation.

Unless the SCOTUS decides to protect voluntary public figures from criticism.

I didn't know you could just go down and buy that stuff.
For that matter I didn't know you would need that stuff in an American prison.

Jan. 6 text messages wiped from phones of key Trump Pentagon officials - CNNPolitics

Seems to be a pattern here.
    A true conspiracy.

Well, y'know what they say..."it's not the crime, it's the cover up that will get ya"
Sad that justice works this way.

Arizona Officials Warned Fake Electors Plan Could ‘Appear Treasonous’

Then again it looks like people were willingly doing the badness.
    "You were warned..."

There IS a underlying seditious trend...a willingness to get ONE party to rule to get their way. Their values. Their way or the highway.
    Even though it's the minority.
By any means necessary. (except killing...so far )

Just surreal, to be in this...in the US, in the 2020's
    History in the making.
    There's a madness going on.

I figure it was something like that. There are things worth sacrificing your career for.

But even then, they were supposed to hand over the phone texts relating to Sandy Hook in discovery, so I think they just followed the law and just gave them it all.

The man who attempted to attack the FBI office was killed. Good riddance.
The right wing nut jobs need to know their actions could cost them their lives. Fight fire with fire.
