Pointless Announcements

I'm annoyed with the hotel people. "Garden view" does not mean "looking out over the parking lot next to the train tracks."
I'm trying to figure out if I should put up with it for ten days or say something... I'm paying half-a-metric-fuck-ton and I need to be able to sleep. Plus, who likes to shower in 2" of rinse water and drain backflow swirling around their feet?

 

some dogs just dig.
you put them in the kennel and immediately they start to dig and dig.
like they are sure the door is a fence, and if they just dig long enough, they will dig their way out.
diggin' to china, we call it.
it's usually little tiny dogs. but sometimes it will be a larger dog, like a boxer or a beagle.
today it was a little fluffy poodle named stuvie.
go on and dig with your bad self, stuvie. you are fucking adorable.

 

my labs are diggers too mixed........but they just dig to bury bones.........the fuckers are smart enough to just jump the fence.

 

i just applied to, like, a real university for the first time.
after this semester I will have earned my AA and for the first time in three years (in my entire life, actually) I will wear the cap and gown and hold something in my hand that says: 'hey, look here, look what she did.'

then it's on to the next three years.

No, but I asked him to mention about this to the doctor, when they were checked at work year or two ago. Doctor told him not to worry, until I show signs of starting to leave him!

His snoring is not even loud, the sound doesn't seem to come from the throat, but it's like his nose was constantly blocked. He was told at the doctor, that if he drinks beer or alcohol in the evening it might cause this too, the muscles relax... He has gained weight in recent years.

Well, snoring or heavy breathing, it bothers me enough. Maybe I'm the problem... I can't sleep either, if there's a clock ticking in the room.

 

I sympathize. I have sinus stuff goin' on (and cardiac meds. that contra-indicate taking meds. for it) and that can cause snoring--did cause, is what I was told. Since I lost weight it seems to have resolved but I'm a day-sleeper so I contend with all the suburban daytime noise. I only sleep on my side and I use a travel-size pillow over the ear facing out to drown out the noise, as well as an air purifier.
Hope you find a way to get better zzzz's.

 

I got up too early today, drove too far, scheduled too many things and ended up with only 10 minutes to enjoy the day. But it was all my fault. How dumb is that?

If it is sinus, he should get it looked at soon, especially if he gets infections easily. My stroke was caused by a sinus infection that went to the brain. Found out after having minor sinus infections a lot, I had a polyp in my left nasal that completely blocked 2 passages so what should have easily flowed out, was going back into the sinus cavity to ferment and cause infection. Once I had the surgery to remove the polyp (non cancerous), I stopped snoring.

Thanks. Maybe he really should see a doctor. He had a very bad cough in December, again disturbing my sleep (and his as well). He was complaining having sore throat again this morning.

yeah, but in a little metal box w. bars, there's nothing to jump. they just might dig.
larger breeds usually don't, though.

Just about any noise bugs me too. And I snore, except when I use my CPAP. It's pretty bad when you wake yourself up, by snoring...

I also have a fan going at night, and wear ear plugs. That helps a little.

 

Feeling a tad bit unstable this morning. Watch for profanity and flying objects.
If I clench my jaw any harder, I'm going to break a fucking tooth.
