Everyone--as soon as she walked out!
I could be wrong and often am, but I think maybe you are looking for hidden motives that are not there. There were a pack of walkers in the barn including 2 little girls. Given how dark and um, crowded circumstances in the barn were--in the five-day period from Sophia going missing until the zombie exodus from the barn I don't think anyone really had the time to do a thorough check of the rotting walking dead in the barn, especially given that the whole lot of them were being kept a secret.

I deserved that. Lol ha ha. Brings the question, when he was in the raftors why didn't he see her? I can onlyassume that he wasn't looking for her since he had other things on his mind.

To whet our appetites for part 2 of season 2 coming up in February and to give us an up close and personal look at the inside of a zombie, the deconstruction of the Daryl & Rick scene where Daryl guts a walker to make sure that it had not eaten Sophia sequence went up on You Tube yesterday. Bonus (new-to-me) video with very small spoilers about characters not plot via the cast about what is coming up. Andrew Lincoln ('Rick") is the one who utters the sorta spoiler.

Zombie Guts: Inside The Walking Dead

"We want to go for the gross out on this". The cast and crew of The Walking Dead describe what it's like to cut open a walker.

How could the second half of the season top the drama and excitement of the first? Watch as the Survivors explain what is to come.

I am quite excited about the second half. I need a zombie fix, stat!

I like hearing Andrew in his normal accent compared to the the American Southern tone he uses in character. Never have watched any of his other work which was largely BBC from what I saw on wikipedia.

I really like Andy Lincoln. Have not see him in anything else, either. I think he was extremely well-cast in this though and am looking forward to seeing "Rick" coping with what's coming. Soon, it'll be hard to remember 'this' Rick.

Well, then I'd be sharing spoilers!

    Twist my arm...:p

As the zombie apocalypse continues, the one commonality no matter who the survivor is--and there are many groups 'out there,' is that they struggle to behave 'humanely.' It is inevitable that they become more sadistic and brutal. The zombies actually seem less evil than the humans --they are less evil because their only agenda is to EAT. A huge character in The Walking Dead series, The Governor controls a small town of sheep-like survivors. One of his group infiltrates Rick's and eventually Rick is held prisoner and tortured. A samurai sword-wielding bad-ass chick is taken too--she is horribly brutalized at the Governor's hands. Both she and Rick survive. She appears to be intact physically but is short a few marbles and is still wielding her samurai swords. Rick's hand is chopped off as part of his experience. In my reading of it, this period becomes a pivotal time where Rick struggles with his own dark side and how to continue to survive in a world gone mad. Then more bad things happen. Really bad things. Rick loses his own sanity temporarily (more like on and off).

I wish I was a writer on the show so I could answer your query!
Robert Kirkman, the writer of the comic and a writer on the TV show says yes, main plot points will be hit. The Governer--yes. Samurai chick 'Michonne' --yes--maybe before the end of season 2 for Michonne. Additionally, Rick will continue to be the main character and Kirkman wishes to bring much of what Rick goes through in the comics to the screen. That said, you know how book-to-screen adaptions go--stuff changes.

I would like to see that Merle Dixon fellow again. Someone that tough can't die that easily.

Just watched those webisodes and it was great to see the story behind that walker Rick put down in the park early in season 1.

Watched all of Season 1 The Walking Dead today. Fast forwarded through a about a third of episode 4 (?) 'Vato', the
weakest eppy, IMO. Noticed way more T-Dog than so far in TWD - season 2. Forgot how great 'Morgan' was. COMIC BOOK SPOILER
His son gets zombified in the comic series and Morgan 'joins' Rick's group at one point. No happy endings for him.
