Tebow does it again!!!!

I wholeheartedly agree with you. I've been an Orton fan since his rookie year with the bears and have been angered many times by the way that both the bears and the broncos, both fans and front offices, have treated Orton. It will be delicious karma watching Orton trash the denver defense this weekend. I'd like to see KC sign KO8 to a few years as well, trade cassell off for picks, and start beating the AFC west for play off spots every year.

That would be good for orton, but with the draft how many good qbs will be left by the time KC gets "on the clock". either way i agree that KC should sign him to a few more years.
Cassell had one good year in New England and people thought he was the best, he just had good surroundings

There is no way Tebow deserves his own thread. Why not put this crap in the nfl discussion thread where godboy is talked about already? Other than the game against Pitt. he hasn't done anything unless he changed body types & positions to win those regular season games. This thread should be merged or closed.

For all the reasons one might, this is probably the most irrelevant reason anyone should.

Even though I really don't care for the pats, im glad to see brady showing tebow how to be a NFL quarterback. And he just set a playoff record.

Its amazing how quickly Tebow can be taken down by a defense that knows how to handle him.

it wouldnt be so bad if he could complete passes. receivers are open at the edges. he just can't throw to them.

Absolutely, 100% untrue. It is the BEST reason to hate him. I don't watch football to be preached to about your chosen brand of God. I absolutely have no issues with someone believing in God. I have no issues with him being a devout, practicing Christian. I have tons of issues with bringing it up every day on the football field. He may be completely genuine, but he is tactless. There is a difference between having faith and feeling compelled to show how much faith you have at every available opportunity. There is a difference between thanking God or Christ after a Super Bowl win and publicly dedicating every minute of every game you play. Sports (and entertainment in general) are a public forum, and famous figures should know well enough to exercise some tact and maturity in their imposition of their personal views on the viewing public. Tebow lacks that.

Apropos to today's game, I'm pretty unimpressed by how hard Bill continues to push this game. I shouldn't be surprised, because talking about the Patriots and good sportsmanship in the same sentence is kind of antithetical. You're up 42-7. You don't need to run a no-huddle pass offense. Seriously.

i dont see sportsmanship at issue here. i see a righteous drubbing happening. and why shouldn't it? my only concern is that the patriots risk injuries (like continuing to use hernandez as a running back) for nothing. but insofar as crushing the broncos is concerned---why should they let up?

  15. Three runs inside the 5 and kick a field goal... uncharacteristically taking the foot off of the throttle.

Because when you're up 3+ touchdowns and you're playing aggressively, you're not longer trying to win the game. You're trying to pad your stats, make records and embarrass the other team. I'm not saying you should fold, but when I posted that they were running no huddle spread offense. There's just no reason for that.

There's also no reason for brawls. Equally unsportsmanlike.

i think you can see the patriots are not really pushing to run up any stats at this point. that 3rd down punt for example.

After I made that comment they did back off considerably. So I guess Evil Little Bill felt my spite. XD

I think you read my post to mean the opposite of how I intended it, Frossbyte. Oh, well.

And I didn't want to be the one to say it, but yeah, I find his pious displays on the field very off-putting. I don't care that he's Christian and loves Jesus anymore than I'd care if he was Muslim and praised Allah. I'd just wish he'd keep his religious gestures and comments to himself and play football like everyone else.

I'll admit, I get uncomfortably embarrassed watching him tebowing and when I'm watching football I don't want to feel uncomfortable about someone making a fool of themselves unless it's football related. When did religious belief become a spectator sport? Where's the humility in genuflecting in front of the camera and evoking the name of Jesus every time he gets in front of a microphone?

I don't hate him for these displays but it's turned me off his team to the extent I was actually rooting for the Patriots in this matchup (formally unheard of)

I switched the game off somewhere towards the end of the 3rd quarter. As much as I don't like Tebow, I was getting disgusted by the deliberate post-mortem trouncing by Belichick and crew and if I'm honest, I was more than a little bored with the game by that point.

I'm glad the Broncos are out now and I hope the Patriots go down next week.
