    His last song, Brian May says he was so sick he'd come in pound some vodka and tonics brace himself up on the control board and never missed a note. This song always brings a tear to my eye. It's so fitting it was his last, even though Brian said Roger wrote this for his kids. Just the instrumentals alone show such grief and sadness.....

    I really dig your taste in music, pan6467.

    Freddy Mercury was a gifted singer-songwriter and showman--an outsized talent. His and Queen's music stands up and sounds as fresh as when it was produced & performed decades later because what he/they did was unique and timeless.

    Today was a perfect day to have the headphones on and appreciate the gift that was Freddie and Queen.

    Well thank you. You must have great taste also.

    You are right, Freddie was the ultimate frontman, he commanded the audience and Brian May a very under rated guitarist. John and Roger weren't half bad either. They made a very unique and great band. I do agree very timeless. I wish I had seen Freddie back in the day instead of the Paul Rodgers version, it was tough to hear him botch Freddie's songs.

    It's always a good day to appreciate Queen.
