But gut says somewhere in the angry q gold is another mcvey working out another oklahoma. Something with a lot of damage and life lost and the 5G guy isn't it. Someone or some group isn't done yet.
The vid posted as well as the following tweet is still encouraging them. Might help a tiny bit that twitter locked him out (finally !)
But I just can't fully exhale normally for a good while yet...

On the other side I'm really heartened at Bydens talk. Kind of crazy it takes JB stepping up with pathetic looser can't.

Please government, recognise these offences and prosicute the perpetrators top down.

The whole thing is amazing.
Footage looks like ppl could have easily walked in with all manner of guns and whatever, total un controlled walk in.
It's amazing.

Meanwhile, it looks like live footage of the terror-temonstrators just still hanging out in a pen surrounded by cops and the guard.

 

I can't say this often enough and emphatically enough:

The people in charge of security and law enforcement who did not prepare for the possibility of rioting need to be fired, and charged with criminal neglect at minimum.

There are no excuses for this not being anticipated, prepared for, and thwarted before it built momentum.

 

Some asshole politician, from Oklahoma I think, was on TV saying there is no excuse for what happened yesterday. He sounded very sincere....but....he added the media and "we" (everybody in the US) are responsible for the environment that lead to the rioting, and Trump did not encourage it.

George Stephanopoulos closed the interview saying "we" are not responsible for what happened, it's on Trump and the rioters. It was nice to see a journalist actually challenge a spin attempt.

I'm sure the interview is/will be available on the ABC News website.

I am wondering about that too. The Army just setup a 8' barrier around the Capitol, so that is something. I was there in 2009, but outside the "secure" zone setup at 4th St to the Capitol for ticketed guests. However, I did hang out in the freezing cold overnight since I didn't have a hotel room. Yet no one screened what I had with me or looked in my bag.

With the pandemic and security concerns, it will be a mess to try and go to the inauguration. But part of me does want to see it first hand. I have been to DC for a few of the big events, but I am worried that this one will turn violent.

 

Let the participants keep sharing their video recordings. It'll make it easier to ID them, and the useless (in some cases overwhelmed) LEOs.

 

I'm all in favor of locating, arresting, charging, and trying everyone involved.

But I do see what could be a real problem: The reaction from radical paramilitary groups when the authorities come after their members, and/or other people, that they see as patriots being persecuted. The Eric Rudolph fiasco comes to mind.

 

The alphabet soup of federal law agency's have more power and more weapons.
I don't care if it goes Waco texas on them all.

I'm real concerned about fascist inside our own law and military...
For years it's been a mission for these groups to join and it's obvious some in our forces listen to these ideas and adopted them or had fascist adjendas comming in.

 

Such as the Capitol Police.

 

I feel like talking about this stuff is just stating and re stating obvious truths.

Simon & Schuster dropping Hawley's book deal isn't censorship, S&S isn't america and isn't the guarentor of free speech any more than TFP, or FB or Twitter. These are all private entities and decide with THEIR own FREEDOM what they are ok publishing or not.

Freedom is hawley self publishing literally on his own personal print machiny if he wants to.

You can't argue it's ok to refuse a gay wedding cake and it's not ok to refuse publishing a book.
It's just absurd. And yale/harvard educated lawyers know this.
