    Agreed
Besides a Biden/Warren ticket would be more viable than Biden/Bernie...who clash like oil & water...even if unlikely.
I'd say more likely Biden/Buttigieg or Biden/Klobuchar would be more likely. (he's smooth & young...she's quick and gets the female vote) --- probably why they dropped out.

He has billions to spend and it is a lot riskier to have Sanders win than Biden to his bank account. Although I still think he would help Bernie win, but in February 2021 he will lobby against tax increases.

Let the strong candidates move forward. The Democrats are going to need a candidate who hasn't been beaten to death trying to win the primaries.

It's almost a shame that beating Shyster Trump, instead of a platform, is the focus.

I wonder Trump is actually listening to at least some of his advisers? He has taken some actions which should (at least IMO) help him in the election.

He has basically kicked the responsibility for Covid-19 responses to the states. And shortly thereafter he stopped the televised task force updates. A very wise move. He can now continue to claim the federal government is doing everything it can to help the states. And basically not have to answer questions and give explanations.

His constant boasting about his financial response was getting old, and the flaws were becoming more apparent. Reporters were asking more detailed questions as more info became available. Trump has never liked having his decisions questioned, and his responses to the tougher questions were getting prickly and sometimes personal. Not good for a candidate.

He reversed his decision to disband his Covid-19 team. A wise decision (which shouldn't have been necessary, but he basically got away with it.

He says the country needs to return to business as usual, and offers no plan to make it happen.

Yes, it sounds like someone has Trump's ear...at least at times.

Word is Trump plans to start holding reelection rallies in two weeks.

I hope that he rambles and babbles with no perceivable direction for hours on end. That will show at least some of his supporters his mind is getting worse.

There will be bloviation. It’ll be an upwelling of pent-up venom and self-worship. 45* is destined to be the fundamental particle in studies in hundreds, maybe thousands of different ways. His rallies are destined to be dissected for years to come.

In the meantime, he’ll be killing his supporters and voters with those same rallies.
The virus doesn’t care if you believe or not
And it certainly doesn’t care about politics.

I wonder how many won’t be able or around to vote by the time November comes...

I wonder how many will require masks? I'm sure he is pissed that the large protest groups can show up, but he can't hold his rallies.

I also wonder what states would let him hold the rallies?

Well, right now they’re announcing Jacksonville FL
It depends on the state and it’s administration what they’ll require.
Right now, it sounds like they’ll cater to his wishes.

And I doubt many will show with masks.
It will be considered “lefty” and they’ll do it out of spite and show resistance.

It’s an us vs them attitude that will get them harmed

Is Trump unbelievably stupid? Does he believe playing to the racists in his base will get him re-elected? Or has he thrown in the towel and decided the harm caused by being as offensive as possible won't matter anyway?

June 19, 2020, Tulsa, OK. Seriously? I mean S-E-R-I-O-U-S-L-Y? I sincerely hope that many of his staff and Republicans tried to talk him out of it.

In this case the line between audacity and stupidity isn't faint and shifting, it's glaringly visible and carved in stone.

He’s a rabid rat stuck in a corner
He’s going do or use anything to win.

They did move the date to the 20th... But like so much else with this administration, I don't know if it is ignorance or malice. I know it was only a few years ago when I heard about the 1921 Tulsa event. It wasn't taught in school or anywhere else in white American culture. Even Juneteenth isn't well known. My spell check even flags it as an unknown word.

The Tulsa tragedy is fairly new to me as well.

Which is odd because my parents are from OK, from a small town that was originally a settlement for free blacks, not far from Tulsa. I spent a fair amount of time in OK as a kid and young teen. I never heard so much as a hushed whisper re the slaughter in Tulsa.
