It's too bad that life really isn't all that fair. If it were, all the virus deniers and protesters would catch the virus and kill themselves and their families, thereby fixing the problem, well, at least part of it. Darwin at work. Too bad life isn't like that.

They're doing roofing work on the apartment complex near us. Because of weird acoustics it sounds like someone is operating a carpentry shop in my front yard.

 

I still have yet to receive my furlough paperwork from my employer. For a furlough that is set to officially begin Sunday, and I am not going to be permitted to check my work email once it begins, so I won't get a proper notification that it is available until after the furlough starts and I haven't even gotten to make my benefits and PTO elections etc. GRRRR.

The patient I saw for a hospital consult at 1100 today.......tested positive for Covid at 1700.
My first definitive known contact with the virus.
I was wearing my N95. And washed my hands. But still unnerving.

NO BITCH today, Dogs woke me up at 6 as usual, so half asleep I grab a T shirt from the drawer and pull it over my head, HOLY SHIT the 1 time in 100 it goes on right, rather than back to front...GOOD FUCKING DAY AHEAD......and so it goes, light traffic on the way to the studio, nothing broke off, or dropped and rolled under the bench, no spilled paint or epoxy, ....skipped lunch (YEA) and here it is "Russian" in hand....and dinner is mostly just a warm up....

 

got 2 teeth removed on wed. still hurting but i know it will get better. ive had many removed before and these 2 were the worst. they were not playing nice. so a few more days of mashed taters and soup

 

Ouch, been through that ... then come the implants...major $$$ but, and I hope that I don't jinx myself, the 20 year old implants are perfect....
Removing teeth that are decayed in condition is saving your LIFE,

not sure what you are talking about, but yes you are correct and i agree.

 

my mouth is feeling a little better today. the dentist called to check on me the other day and explained that when they were pulling the one broken tooth out it broke off some more. when that happened they turned up the gas and had to dig it out. she said that she had never seen anyone just sit there and take the pain. no wonder its still sore.
so fucking tired of mashed taters, and soup.

 

My wife gets POd when she asks me to remind her about something and I forget. Something important to her, not us. Not my job.

The thing is she has access to pen & paper (to put it mildly), our laptop, her cell phone, her iPad, & now her Chromebook on loan from her school. And she needs me to remind her? No.

 

I get it, i totally do. but im bad about asking my wife to remind me of something. but when she and I both forget, i dont get mad at her, cause i myself forgot. But like i said. I get it
