  18. I am a fan of dead week. I didn't even come CLOSE to hitting a pedestrian, cyclist or long boarder with my car this morning. Also, I didn't have to dodge cyclists or students walking and texting while a pedestrian myself on campus. It's a ghost town and I love it!

My work day is the same length no matter what the season.

It is soooo nice to be done with 8am classes and not have to go into work until 9:30. I'm doing online classes next term so that I don't have to do the early morning thing.

Ever since I was in the Navy my days have started at 4-5 and I'm usually done with domestic stuff by 7:30- dishes, laundry, food prep. etc... Admittedly when the Navy first forced this schedule on me I wasn't a fan. But by the time I was discharged (honorable, don't believe the rumors) it was nearly hardwired in and over the years I've come to enjoy it. Granted acceptance likely occurred prior to enjoyment. But I like it now, you can get a lot of stuff done while the rest of the world is asleep.
