will Burroughs go to Cincinnati or will he pull an eli and say nope...not their

how long will it take jerry jones to just come out and fire him already

brady took the blame for the loss

So Shurmur is the only Black Monday HC firing so far? Odd. And Gettelman keeps his job along with a vote of confidence. That could make hiring a new HC difficult (of course Gettleman could be 'reassigned').

Jackass Jerry just can't admit he was wrong about garrett. He proclaimed Howdy Doody Jr a genius, and made him the highest paid OC in the NFL while waiting to fire Wade Phillips. Jackass Jerry just can not admit he was wrong. I'll bet that if HDJ begged hard enough he'd get another season.

    In no particular order....

Newton. Is still young at 30, IIRC. Much depends on his recovery. Can he adjust to being less mobile, more of a pocket passer? I can see the Panthers going one more "win, or else" season with him.

Brady. Much depends on his performance in the PO. He has some legit reasons for his slide this year, but I firmly believe age is catching up to him. He's missing plays because his reaction time is increasing. Brady should leave with his body still relatively healthy, but he's shown some real ego issues.

Brees. Wants a SB win before he retires. The Saints are hot now, and have been consistent this year, but they'll have to play brilliantly in the PO to reach the SB. If no SB, Brees keeps playing.

Bridgewater. Should stay where he is, wait one more season. And I'm not sure teams are as ready as they used to be to drop big $$ on back-up QBs who have only showed flashes of being very good.

Eli. Needs to retire. Some athletes age quicker than others; Eli is no Brees or Brady. Could he be an effective ball control QB in the right system? Possibly.

Rivers. Will keep playing...for a new team. Does he have enough left for a SB run? Maybe, but only with the right system and the right team. Here's a crazy thought: Rivers signs with the Patriots.

Fitzpatrick. He's not a starter, but will hang around collecting some nice paychecks as a backup.

Tannehill. Has renewed his career with the Titans.....unless he stumbles badly in the PO. Sometimes the shock of being traded wakes up a player.

Winston. Interviews with Ariens indicate that he's history.

Winston is the first member EVER of the 30 td and 30 int club. the odd thing is that he had 5000+ passing yards

Ron Rivera agrees to become Redskins’ next coach, begins work on assembling staff

Good hire on the heels of the good firing of GM Bruce Allen.

I hope that Snyder hooks Rivera up with a good GM, and then steps back to allow them do their jobs.

Jackass Jerry is either enjoying the media attention (of course he is), or Howdy Doody Jr will be given a new contract. Doesn't he realize pissing around is making him look indecisive? I'll LMAO if he's brought back, then all of the girls major free agents who can't be forced to stay decide to jump ship.

The Jags are staying the course. This is one non-move that really surprises me.

fflowley Don't just do something, stand there!

I hate to say "I told ya so" but after the last Super Bowl I told anyone who would listen that Brady and Belichik should have retired together.
They could have gone out as the two greatest of all time, at the absolute pinnacle of their careers.
Now I don't think it's going to be as pretty.

    Love, love, love Ryan Fitz.
He will never get you past 8-8 but the man has character, and is always fun to watch on the football field.

Will anyone be stupid enough to throw big $$$$ at Winston? Tempting but I don't think his deficiencies can be corrected.

IIRC Fitz had the best game of his career starting for the Texans. He lit the Titans secondary up for around 450 yards and four TDs. It was probably ??? the only time in his career he was pulled for having a great game.

    Mixed feelings.

If the Texlers defeat the visiting Bills on Saturday, I want it to by a large margin. For momentum.

Conversely, an embarrassing loss might cost O' Brien his job. Some fans might question why anyone in their right mind would be so down on OB. I am because I don't want the Texlers to have a Marvin Lewis or Jason "Howdy Doody Jr" Garrett situation.

I've read several stories regarding the no call PI late in the 49ers v Seahawks game. Am I the only person who saw--real? imagined?--the receiver first pushing the defender? Perhaps that's why no PI was called?

Here’s my prediction. The patriots lose Saturday to the Titans and Brady retires shortly after. That.

The cowgirls situation has gotten even more ridiculous. Who's the bigger wussy, Jackass Jerry for not telling Howdy Doody Jr to take a hike, or HDJ for not just walking away and taking his chances with another team?

The "experts" have the Texlers favored by three, not exactly an overwhelming endorsement.

Since we're going to be stuck with OB for at least next season--or two-- regardless of the outcome, I'm rooting for the Texlers.
