    My 81-year-old, this year-widowed dad just bought a Alien green Kia Soul.

    This was how he decided to do it: I went car shopping. Phase 1: which can I get into easily with my bum knees. Answer: trucks and big suv's, but I am fed up with 12 mpg @ $3.50. So I kept looking and found an alternative. The Kia Soul is the ugliest car ever made but it fits me perfectly.

    I love my Dad. He reminds me of how I came to be such a weirdo.
