My new Car

Hi all...I just bought my first brand new car, and I wanted to show it off. It's a 45th anniversary edition 2012 2SS/RS Camaro

Basic stats:
6.2l V8
426 HP
420-ish lb-ft torque
0-60 in just over 4 seconds
GW: 4700 (she's a bit of a beefcake)

Very nice ride. Be careful, when we had a new Camaro - the husband got A LOT of speeding tickets!!

Congrats!!! Glad someone can buy a brand new car these days!

 

If anything I'd like to put a new cold air intake and a more aggressive sounding exhaust system.

I'm not a huge fan of black rims, and the tint isn't worth the extra attention I'd get from the po-po :-\

It gets to sit under a covered driveway... Unfortunately for me, the garage on my house was built in the mid 50's, so there's no room for a car and the washer/dryer and furnace...

It's nice to see GM taking pride in their automobiles again. The new Camaro is a sweet looking machine.

 

It really is. Even though I own one, when ever I see one on the road it turns my head.

 

I don't see too many camaros where I live, up in the Rocky Mountains, but when I go visit my girlfriend's parents in newport beach you see a few of them rolling around there. I like the new body style but do think they could have made it a bit more aggressive looking. imo.

 

Jump into the 2ss, and you'll feel how agressive these beasties can be

 

Yeah, I'd like to take one for a test drive just to see what cooking in there. My gf has an audi rs4 which is pretty quick too, so I definitely get my speed fix. But I need to be careful when I get behind the wheel of a fast car. I have a lead foot and it's gotten me into a lot of trouble.

 

RS4 != 2SS :-p . The camaro is nice and rough around the edges....she'll eat you alive if you're not careful

 

I'll always be partial to European horsepower as I grew up with a dad who took me for rides in his 1967 porsche 911. But in high school I started to get into american muscle cars. GTO, Camaro, Mustangs. But camaros were my favorite. I just always liked the way Chevy's looked. Even the chevy trucks had the nicer lines. Although I have a 2005 F-250 now.
