So......if the Lions can beat the Bengals and/or the Packers (chances are Rodgers won't play in a meaningless game), the cowgirls are out of the POs.

    Win, Lions, win!!!

Chris, is there anything about the cowgirls you don't hate?

I'm glad you asked that question, because there is one thing:

  3. The Lions should win out, but miss the playoffs... traceable to that 10 second runoff at the end of the Falcons game. If the officials stop the clock for a review, the teams shouldn't be penalized with a runoff. One more Lions play could have changed the whole playoff dynamics. No guarantee that they would have scored, but, DAMN!

    Questionable calls suck.
They really suck near the end of close games.
And totally suck when they affect/potentially affect the standings at the end of the regular season.

Rodgers is back on IR. A wise move IMO as there's no point risking further injury in meaningless games.

If what I'm reading is correct the Texans won't benefit much in the draft by losing their last two games, but they're so pathetic they don't need to tank the games to lose.

I'm rooting for the Seahawks and the Lions. Those wins are important--to me--because chances are the Eagles won't risk injuries to their best players when they face the cowgirls. Anything to keep the cowgirls out of the POs.

That wasn't the most exciting game I've ever seen, but at least the Vikings won. I'll bet that Hundley felt like shooting a couple of his receivers.

I found it interesting that by the end of the game most of the fans left were Vikings fans.

Bad news: The Seahawks were pretty bad.

Good news: The cowgirls were worse.

The biggest upset had to be the 49ers over the Jaguars.

The cowgirls totally blew it. At home. I think that jackass jerry's face fell down to his scrotum; he exited his box before the game ended. No cowgirls loss would be complete without (even more)selfishness from dickhead dez.

At least now I can relax should the Eagles decide to rest/protect some of their starters next week.

New catch rule in the NFL:
A catch is a catch, unless it results in a touchdown against the Patriots, in which case it will be overturned by the replay officials.

^ Known as Section PTP (Protect the Patriots).

The only good thing I see with the Patriots in the POs:

They've been very lucky in several regular season games, namely opponents dropping what should've been game ending interceptions, and some questionable officiating, which means their great record doesn't mean they played exceptionally well. They appear to be vulnerable.

But one can't ignore the fact that they find ways to win, even when down by 25 points*.

*Thank you, Atlanta Falcons, for taking some of the attention away from the Oilers infamous loss to the Bills, even though the record for biggest comeback, and choke, in the NFL playoffs still stands.

I'm a Bills fan so I've watched the Pats a lot over the years.
They still have the magic but they look more vulnerable to me than they have in past years.
The AFC East had no team to challenge them this year but it wouldn't surprise me to see them knocked out of the playoffs.

The Texans got stomped by the Steelers. Imagine my shock , and disappointment that I didn't see the game :p.

I certainly hope the Patriots make an early exit. Perhaps by some miracle they'll have to hit the road during the POs.

I heard a rumor that Robert Kraft purchased the NFL Referees' Association  :D :p.

Let's say the Texans fire O'Brien, and Rick Smith.

They hire Josh McDaniels as HC (the situation here should be very attractive to an offensive--ha, ha, ha--coach).

The question is who would McDaniels mesh with as GM?

EDIT--It helps to get the names right.

There are rumors, but you know that always happens when a decent team ends up having a crappy season. Watson has Tweeted that he wants work with OB.

In all fairness I think OB deserves another year to see what he can accomplish with a good QB. Smith needs to recapture the magic he managed back in 2011 & 2012, namely load the Texans with good players, starters and backups.

I'm sure McDaniels will be much sought after once the Patriots are done (hopefully early in the POs). The guy has to leave the comfort of the Patriots' nest sooner or later. My thinking is the Texans are reasonably solid, not a mess like the Bengals or Browns. I also see him considering the Chiefs should they decide Reid will never take the Chiefs to the next level.
