He was not perfect...nor was his administration. No one is.
    Dropped the ball here.
Obama team was warned about Russian interference

Then again, we ignored the signs that led up to 9/11
Goes to show you...even if you have good will and want to give the benefit of the doubt...there's always those who want to do you harm or have ill will towards you.
    Wish it weren't otherwise.
But you have to be real and be vigilant and diligent.

This is where my conservative side comes out.

The only thing I think that Obama could have done is to have had someone leak the info to the media or even Wikileaks. See if Wikileaks would actually put up an anti-Trump story or were acting in a purely anti-Hillary fashion. And even then, I'm not sure if that would have changed many people's minds.

Because there were 48 million Republican voters, and many more undecided ones, who would have loved to have had another excuse to vote against the corrupt Hillary. And having the President put out information that is intended to swing an election, and isn't obvious because the Russians should know how to cover their tracks, would be a bad way to end his term. And I would guess that the Senate might have started an investigation into Obama and have him testify in front of Congress. Fox News, Rush, Drudge, The Blaze, InfoWars, Savage, and the rest of the right wing media empire would have talked about it 24/7 as a fake story or a conspiracy made up to get Hillary elected. It would have been even worse than when Bill Clinton got on the AG's plane.

Good point @ASU2003 - perhaps he didn't want to upset the apple cart.
I didn't think of that this way at the time I posted. Excellent call.
And knowing the attack mode mindset of this current GOP, he understood his opponents.
A catch-22 (damned if you do, damned if you don't)

If he truly gets back into politics, then he'll be a force to be reckoned with.
Obama's Charlottesville tweet is now the most-liked tweet ever

I don't think he'd have as much influence as a Governor.
And not as the Party Leader...he's not that ruthless and manipulative. (which is necessary for strategy and logistics) Maybe for overarching themes and slogans. (which the Dems are poor at)

He'd probably be most effective becoming a Senator again.
Waxing philosophic on the floor, with grand words.
Bringing together the Dems there...and negotiating with the GOP that he gets along with (and many of them admire him individually)

It would also allow him to go back onto the news shows...present there too.

Obama's a great speaker. Best since FDR and Reagan.

I don't think he will actively get back into politics. But, where he and his foundation would be the most effective is teaching the 20-50 year olds who want to run as Democrats how to debate, how to give a presentation, how to organize a campaign, how to fund raise, how to connect with voters, how to interact with the media, how to manage volunteers, and how to use local groups & big data to win elections.

Obama tried to give Zuckerberg a wake-up call over fake news on Facebook

The man is now gone from the presidency...yet we're still pealing back the layers of the history of his time.
Caught between address the issue...and seeming partisan/interfering in the election.

No drama Obama may have dropped the ball due to his typical caution.

Frankly, sometimes you just have to pop the zit.

Well, his job is irrelevant now.
Jordan Spieth: Obama beat me at golf

But it looks like his superpowers are still working (much the GOP's annoyance...and Trump's )
Too cool for school...except he went to school...and then some, y'know??
    Who's schooling who now??

Something else for Trump to get pissed off at from him.

As Obama himself noted...no dust on his shoulders.
    Hope he's having fun.

This seems obvious, why hasn't 45 figured it out?
“Think before you speak, think before you tweet, same principle,” he (Obama) added.
