That's why I use Firefox. But sometimes, at least on a Mac running 10.10 Firefox gives me trouble filling out forms. Then I switch over to Safari. The porn fix mostly comes in on Opera. Following @rogue49 advise from a couple of years ago that separating porn from my general online life is a good idea. See, @rogue49 I do pay attention sometimes.:)

Still working onWreck Of The Whale Ship Essex by Owen Chase.

I got interrupted by a Zombie Anthology that I needed to finish. Discovered it while cleaning the bookshelves of old titles.

Since it's October, I've been on a "scary" kick, with varying results.

How to Hang a Witch wasn't bad, but it's YA, so it was pretty predictable.

Kink ended up being just really terrible torture porn.

Secrets of Southern Girls was more mystery than horror or thriller. Not bad, a little choppy.

I've also reread Under the Dome, IT, and am currently rereading Anne Rice's The Witching Hour (I like the Mayfair Witches more than the vampires. Though, with it being October and all, I may give the vampires another shot.)

Edit: oh, I also picked up The Howling. I've never seen the movie.

Any Duchess Will Do by Tessa Dare. It's the fourth book in a series. I'm going to have to see if the library has the other ones. It's entertaining and sexy so far. I picked it up because an article from Jezebel had mentioned Tessa Dare as someone writing outside of the formula (https://jezebel.com/heres-how-not-to-critique-romance-novels-1819188174). It's definitely different from most Regency-style novels.

The used bookstore had all 14 of the Hellblazer graphic novels, selling for half price.
I didn't want to but I had to.
The stories range from good to amazing, while the art is consistently brilliant.

I just finished Black House (Stephen King & Peter Straub), sequel to the Talisman. It wasn't quite as good as the Talisman, but still kept me engaged (and had me awake at two in the morning, jumping at every little sound.)

As I finished it, I realized I really can't avoid the Dark Tower much longer. I'll just have to slog my way through the Gunslinger, I guess.

I really like Peter Straub. I'll have to give this a try. Ghost Story kept me awake, and literally gave me nightmares.

Ooh, I'll have to check that one out.

If you haven't read the Talisman, read that first. You don't NEED to to understand the story, but it does fill in some details, and I think it's better.

Seriously, I was in university at the time when I read Ghost Story. (saw the movie when it came out too - late '81 with John Houseman) I had been reading it before going to sleep after doing homework which was plotting isobars on a map for my climatology class. I dreamed that I reached from my bed to turn on the light, and my homework - the lines on all the isobars jumped off the page and wrapped themselves around my wrist. It was so shocking it woke me up. Then, of course I was too shaken to actually reach over and turn on the light!

I'm pretty sure I read Talisman before, but because I can't remember - I will read it again.

Seven Eves by Neal Stephenson. Interesting book about what happens if the moon the blows up. His vision of how to save the human race for extinction and it takes place in the "present" and then 5000 years in the future. A very descriptive book about surviving in space and re-starting the human race.
