If I were able to eat tacos, it would've been taco night. I adore them in all their forms, meat, no meat, fish, soft shell, hard shell, whatever. All good.

I'm mostly a beef taco person when at home. We also have some great, fairly authentic Mexican places around here that have awesome breakfast tacos, and tacos with everything from goat to chorizo to grilled pork on them. Delicious!

I'll take any type of shell. I'll take almost any combination of lettuce, tomato, cilantro, onion, cheese, alvacado, guac, sour cream, refried beans, or salsa for toppings.

Basically, I like tacos more than I like most people. :p

And on an almost unrelated note concerning dinner, tonight I believe it is broccoli and beef stir fry.

Homemade macaroni and cheese. I should put the recipe in the what you're known for thread. It is the recipe I get asked for, despite it just being macaroni and cheese.

Mrs. L and I are back in L.A. for a couple of weeks, so we took advantage and went to our favorite deli here. I had a chicken knish, a steak sandwich with grilled onions, and mashed potatoes and gravy. So damn good!

  6. I do two forms of this (we call it tortilla hash) - a meat and bean version with corn tortillas, made in a 9 x 13 pan, or a meatless version using 8" flour tortillas that I make in a round cake pan and slice like a pie. I usually add rice or diced canned tomatoes to mine as well. Both are delicious and easy.

I think I'll make the meatless version tonight. It takes five minutes to put together, and today is my long day at work, so quick is good.

Some type of chicken parm meatball sandwiches the wife is going to concoct.

Just to be clear, I think the meatballs are made out of chicken parm, not chicken parm AND meatballs. :p

Sauteed leeks in bacon fat, added crumbled chorizo and pork sausage, mixed in monteray jack cheese, eggs, and heavy cream and baked it in the oven. Kind of a crustless quiche. Was delicious!

    Beercan chicken.

  12. Was a hearty Italian soup from Bertoli. We had been at a nature preserve watching migrating sand hill cranes, it was windy, cold and spitting rain. Sometimes soup is the perfect meal.

I had some really good sushi rolls for dinner tonight.

This is not my halloween costume, it's a closeup I took of the seaweed salad:

Meat-za tonight. Baked a nice weave of bacon, topped with sun dried tomatoes, sausage, pepperoni, black and green olives, onions, and mozzarella and threw it in the oven.
