I wonder if the GOP are going to be punished in backlash???
for them allowing Trump to get away with as much as he has for this long (even these few months have been "forever" and lots of damage)

Again, I'm not for the Dems, knowing their issues. (I'd say my conservative values tend to be along the lines of Bush Sr.)
But they're an easy substitute to the current GOP, who have become despicable and outlandish ideologues

In the end, you've got to think about Nation before party
    and citizens before corporations.
otherwise, you're going to lose in the long run. There is an imbalance.

    Funny, they could get lucky.
Americans are fickle and have a VERY short memory. (lazy voters for the most part)
If they can get everyone to forget by the time November 2018 comes around, they've got a shot to save their asses.

I'm not sure what will happen in 2018 for sure. I worry that protestors and moderates will be burnt out and along with the gerrymandering, and the red states whose senators are up for re-election in 2018, it might turn out pretty bad. If the Democrats lose again in 2018 or just let the Republican media machine run against the corrupt DNC leadership and hold onto the majorities in the house and senate, there will be a lot of bad legislation passed in 2019.

And to be honest, I think if the election was held today, the GOP would win easily. I know my incumbent GOP congressman won by 20 percentage points in the vote last November, and I doubt there has been that much of a swing in my district. And it is 'supposed' to be one of the more competitive ones.

The GOP may be a party of bad ideas but they're still not the ones who've been showing up with flags, uniforms, and masks throwing bricks, glass bottles, and m80s at people just for disagreeing with them. The recent crossover to attempted mass assassination is also going to stick with a lot of people.

The fact is the Democrats decided to double down on dumb every chance they got to the point of tying themselves to the sinking ship of SocJus and it's dragging them down with it now.

I've been talking to various feminists here in Israel for the last 5 months and even among the fairly radical ones what passes for the "left" in America is simply unrecognizeable to them. They're horrified at the glorification of people like Donna Hylton and Rasmea Odeh and find absolutely nothing liberal about the rhetoric, the censorship, or the violence.

The GOP and police acting on their behalf endangered disabled protesters lives today. Removing someone from mobility devices is cruel and unusual, they were also detained and removed to a facility without accessible bathrooms. This will not be forgotten.

If this is your idea of "endangering lives" how do you feel about what the other side did? Or was that forgotten? Their protest may have been important, and their removal certainly a mark of how corrupt and callous the GOP is, but saying people's lives were endangered demeans the value of it all by engaging in hypocritical hyperbole that discredits everything else being said.

    2. To threaten with extinction.

I did not say that they were on Death's doorstep, I used the word endangered.
We are absolutely going to disagree on this. I'm not going to change one notion you have about this issue and you sure as hell are not going to change mine.

Also, what event was the man with the Trump shirt from? You've posted a photo with zero context nor a link to shed any light at all.

EDIT: Actually, got curious and searched it out...

How are the actions of ANTIFA in any way the other side of peacefully assembled ADAPT protestors from June 22, 2017? I'm not asking in a bitchy way I'm just baffled as to how the two correlate.

The question you're asking i "how are the actions of a group of people on the vanguard of the left, acting out the explicit calls for radical action and dehumanizing rhetoric of the near entirety of the left, who are widely excused if not outright defended by the left, not represenative of the left."

It's just like when people try to claim Linda Sarsour and Rasmea Odeh aren't representative of a Particular Movement despite being the leaders of some of the largest organized actions taken by that movement in decades.

Oh please you've an obsession about two women that are not representative of the GOP today, and it seems to be a myopic focus to try and bring every topic back to that. Yes one was involved with the Women's March, and there varying stories on just how good or bad she is.

You posted a bruised, bloodied man with again no context nor link but you implied that was what the other side did. As I stated quite clearly before... The actions of ANTIFA A YEAR ago in no way connect to ADAPT. Honestly, I think you must be confused about who the people behind APADT are.

Also, no that was not at all the question I was asking. In fact I'm rather sure I did not ask a question but was just adding my assessment of a situation that the GOP was involved in.

Trump teases 'big surprise' on Senate Obamacare repeal effort

Wonderful, a "big surprise," just what we need. *sigh*

"Those two women who were directly in charge of two of the largest public actions in the last few decades, involving millions of people, have nothing to do with the movement they were literally leading in the largest public action that movement took since broadband became a thing. And anyway there's disagreement over how good or bad a woman who openly called for violence and genital mutilation against another woman who was already a victim of genital mutilation, and her friend who was convicted of bombing a grocery store in an attempt to commit mass murder for racial reasons."

"You posted a picture from a major ongoing controversy that was part of a public event that is one of the single most widely watched and closely followed things in the modern world today, how dare you expect me to actually be even slightly informed about this. And while we're at it that's not a house. It's just a single individual brick not connected to anything. And another single individual brick not connected to anything. And another single individual brick not connected to anything... so what if they're all part of a single larger continuous whole that's tightly bound together and forms what in any other circumstance everyone would agree is a house. It's inconvenient to my argument so I'm saying it's just a brick."

We are done. Your arguments are circular, uniformed, and ineffective.

Ok, please calm down and get back on topic. This is about the GOP, good or bad, for or against. Please refrain from going after each other.

I read a fun game on reddit: In the same period of time let's see whether the Trump administration or Game of Thrones loses more people.

GOP leaders say it’s time for Senate to move on from health care

    Y'think???
They only had 7 years to come up with something...that won't get their own members thrown under the bus with their constituents and not throw millions of people out.

AND control of the House, Senate and the Presidency.

BUT...kinda of hard to come up with something different, when the original damn idea was made by a conservative think tank
and the prez before had the audacity to adapt the idea and push it through when HE had control. (It cost them the next election to a certain extent though...but mostly because it was the mid-terms and Dem/Ind voters are bit more lazy)

All they basically did was hype and marketing...no product.
Sooner or later, people are going to douse the flash...figure out there's no substance.
