In the 'good old days' a lot of 'people' had opinions that were offensive as fuck and were more than happy to share them at work or any public place but people were afraid to say anything because those people came from the safe class.
They were the boss, the sons and daughters of the bosses or could become your boss.
They were white, well off or had a whole bunch of their friends who would be happy to stomp your ass for speaking up.
As someone who had his ass stomped back in 'the good old days' for speaking up after being called a faggot for having long hair (Hey, its just an opinion, man. Men should have short hair and not look like girls.) I'm kind of glad we are a little more aware of how other people feel.
