I bought a taco kit. Old el Paso. It was good.

Where do you find crispy flour taco shells? Or do you fry your own?

When I read that I saw it as "Crispy corn tortillas and flour tortillas" rather than crispy tortillas made out of a mix of corn and flour.

A small ( 4 locations ) long time local chain taco place Taco Inn – A Lincoln Original Since 1976 offers the choice of corn or crisp flour shell tacos. They're also the only fast food Mexican place ( at least around here ) that offers tostadas. I really prefer the flour shell tacos, they're a thinner shell. I've had those tacos with a soft flour tortilla folded around a crisp corn shell. It's an interesting texture.

Tacos of all sorts are one of my top 2-3 favorite foods. Usually I prefer soft corn tortillas, but I'll eat all types. :D

    Nice Indian buffet today
A good Kenyan dark roast coffee

Then...for some reason I was hungry again
    ...3 hours later

So had a perfect pizza slice
Just like those I had back at the pizza joint by my high school after class

The thick & chunky tomato meat sauce is simmering on the range top; 3:30 will make four hours cook time.

Will serve it over angel hair pasta (unless I go to the grocery store for regular or thin spaghetti), with streamed broccoli.

    Spaghetti with homemade meat sauce,
Don't buy that sugar loaded prepared sauce.
Ground beef from my freezer, Hunts tomato sauce, seasonings from my cabinet and then add what ever veges I have on hand. So good.

    Last night:

Thick & chunky tomato meat sauce over regular spaghetti, garlic bread (bought the plain Italian loaf fresh, did my own seasoning), simple side salad (green leaf lettuce, spinach, tomato, & green onion).

I made burgers. We needed a redemption night. So I seasoned and beat an egg, mixed into a pound of Trader Joe's 80/20 ground beef and seared on the grill pan for 3m per side. Served with pickles, mustard, veganaise, tomato, butter lettuce, ketchup, and gluten-free hamboiger buns from TJs. And some sweet potato "frites" from TJs that I baked on parchment. It was a good dinner. I owned it.

Had the butcher cut some 1 3/4" bone in ribeyes. Reverse seared them in the cast iron skillet. Awesome stuff.

I took my mother to a nice Italian restaurant for her birthday.

She had a mildly seasoned grilled chicken
    And a light Caesar salad

I had an Italian salad (spring mix)
Steamed Mussels in herbs and butter
And grilled chicken in a nice pesto spaghetti

And a great glass of crisp Pinot Grigio

Then we both shared a decadent bread pudding with vanilla ice cream atop.
