Hey, visually...being slim helps. Goes without saying.

    Also, it helps being fit...
The erect penis is simply a bloated blood vessel mixed with muscle...the more fit you are, the faster the blood fills and the longer it can stay.
That's what arousal pills do...a medicine made for heart issues...making the blood easier to get to pertinent areas...including your dick.

So again goes without saying...try to stay slimmer, especially around the waist and fit....so your peter can keep petering (no offense to those Peters out there ;) )

But it's not a deal breaker, you should be fit simply to stay healthier and stay alive longer and better.
This is just an added factor and potentially a bonus.

However, as I know, this is often easier said than done. (I work on it myself)

Definitely. Thirty years ago I was fit, and the blood was definitely flowing to my penis.

Absolutely! A partner with a lean and strong body is a turn-on to me. He doesn't have to be able to bench press a Toyota corolla.

Helped by oral and manual "encouragement." And I'm glad that you use the word slim instead of skinny.

Fit makes a difference. My Sig other just turned fifty, ten years older than me. He has wood nearly every morning and can almost always "rise" to the occasion and still , at age fifty, has some monumental stiffies. A scant 18cm, verified, to his embarrassment, by me with a tape, and he is lean and fit at 5'9" and about 170lbs, non-smoker, and a former gymnast.

    "...A scant 18cm..." = 7.08 inches.

    Scant? Seriously?

6.2 inches is the high end average, 5.5-6.2 inches, for the penis. The variation in average length is due to the numbers from various studies not matching, and allowances for how the measurements were taken. If some of the posts in this thread are accurate, and some of those include information from condom makers, you could drop that average by about .5 inches.

This something I posted in another thread. I'm writing this mostly in case someone stumbles across this thread while looking for info on how to maximize what they have to work with.

In my limited experience, namely making love with my wife.....
I repeat.....In my limited experience, namely making love with my wife:

The main issue with being below average (setting aside the fact that many people find small penis jokes and comments So.Fucking.Funny.And.Acceptable) is sexual positions. Simple fact --Your penis has to be long enough to achieve & maintain satisfactory penetration; barely getting there and constantly slipping out while in some positions is no fun for either party. IMO, and I really mean this, the sooner you accept it the sooner you'll move on to better sex.

There are many websites with very good information regarding positions that help with a smaller penis. These are four positions I've found to work well (I apologize for not knowing the proper names for some of them), and they are not listed in any particular order. I'm speaking of Penis In Vagina (PIV) sex, but they could apply to anal sex as well. And as just about everyone--namely experts and those with experience--recommends, working up to PIV--foreplay, oral, manual, etc.--is frequently just as important as the actual act. A wet and horny vagina will be more receptive to PIV. Of course quickies and raw I Want It Now! sex does occur (thankfully!!).

    1. Her on her back, with her legs spread and pulled back, with a pillow under her butt. This allows for more direct access, i.e deeper penetration, and for easier angle adjustments (sometimes a slightly different angle will make a lot of difference to her).

2.. Doggy. With her in the right position you can go as deep as you're able to.

    3. Sideways. Her on her side, a pillow under one hip, her other legs out of the way (you'll need to experiment with what is comfortable for her). This causes a different sensation during PIV (per my wife), and allows relatively easy clit and/or anal stimulation.

The above three positions allow the guy to control the action. This can involve teasing with slight penetration, going balls deep, going slowly, jackhammering, etc.

    4. Cowgirl. Her on top, you on your back with a pillow under your butt. Not only does this help penetration, it also frees your hands, and mouth, to stimulate her in other ways. And she can move up & down, or grind, or mix the two. Note--Reverse cowgirl doesn't work for grinding.

I was using scant in the sense of falling slightly (pardon the expression) short of the stated amount. You see it used in recipes "a scant quarter cup." Definitely not meaning that 18cm is in any way scant or insufficient. I certainly would not want it to be any longer.

I need to leave now, but I'll have more to say later.

Thanks for the explanation, I've always thought of scant as meaning just barely enough. Please do share more of your thoughts.

I'm above average in size but get no action. I'd trade 2 inches off my dick to get someone to actually pay attention to it

That's what I've been saying all along...

It's your ability to get there in the play
Than what you have to play with.

(it helps to know how to play well, once you're there)

    I know you're using hyperbole....but....
I feel safe saying you would NOT want to go down to 4.2" from say the high average of 6.2".

Well, unless the trade-off turned your wife into a monogamous nymphomaniac ;).

An amusing (??) thought: I'd give up a bit of sex to add 2" in length (with proportional girth) to my penis. My wife wouldn't mind me being comfortably bigger (yes, we're that honest with each other), but she wouldn't like the less sex aspect of the trade-off.

    EDIT--Uh, I changed my mind.

I forgot to include something very important:

Ladies, the above ^ positions allow you to stimulate yourself. If you like or need something extra, don't be afraid to go for it. Such as squeezing your breasts, playing with your nipples, rubbing your clit, etc. Most guys are turned on by women "touching themselves." And that usually, at least sometimes, leads to a stronger erection. My wife says she can feel me getting bigger when I see or know that she's adding some DIY, and I know that my erection gets stronger. Just don't expect some kind of miraculous growth. You can also get him to do it; don't be afraid to teach him the techniques that pleasure you. Also don't be scared to touch him, experiment with his nippes, balls, etc. Sex, even when it's making love with someone you care about, is ultimately about physical pleasure.

Worth repeating: Remember that the journey can be as much fun as reaching the destination.

Probably has more to do with where their life was before they decided to screw on camera than how big their cocks are.

I wasn't referring to genital size. Many porn actors are women.

And I'm guessing that porn actors are more likely to kill themselves than people with identical backgrounds who didn't get into porn.

Tough business + pressure + harsh criticism of minor flaws + many failure modes + short career + heavy drug use + deep social stigma + disowned by family.

    A related post....

I've never read Jenna Jameson's book
How To Make Love Like A Porn Star. I, like many people I'm guessing, assumed/thought it was a How To book that glorified porn. I recently read many excerpts from the book. If they weren't taken completely out of context, she is highly critical of the industry and the lifestyle--mostly heavy alcohol & drug (ab)use--that it can lead to.

BTW/FWIW JJ wrote bigger isn't necessarily better, and can be too much. And she wasn't referring just to her porn performances.
