I was thinking of having Elon Musk do one up for me, since he already has the manufacturing base.
That won't be one of my type of companies in my International Conglomerate. :D

A coworker/sorta friend texted me "happy new year, love you!" And without really thinking about it, I texted back, "love ya back, happy new year!"

.................immediately after hitting send, I realized she probably meant to send that to her daughter.

I have worn contacts forever. My last pair of glasses was purchased about 10 years ago when I scratched my cornea and couldn't wear contacts. They were my emergency backup until my 3 year old daughter (at the time) stepped on them. However I really need something I can use in an emergency. Like if something goes bump in the night in the house. I like the prices at costco, so I'll probably go there. I did look at online purchases, but my mole like eyes require high index lenses, which jacks the price up. I'm surprised my contacts aren't super thick.

Apparently you can develop Asthma for the first time in your life at age 42. Nice first day of 2017 spent in the ER.

Mine come from specific allergies becoming apparent at 30...I figured out something at 32....but the docs didn't know what it was really until 45 (they just dealt with the symptoms before)

Doctors are professional guessers...and sometimes they are not specifically focused on you.
Be your own advocate, press on forward.
Make sure to have specialists check you out, not just general practitioner. (including allergist)
    Also could be environmental too.
As a body changes they sometimes become susceptible to new things.

    Hope you feel better soon.
    Breathing properly is essential. Seriously.

Ouch. Hopefully you figure out what the causes are. Glad you are okay.

Finally replaced the front brake pads in my subaru. I had not driven the car for about a month due to the horrible grinding noises. When I finally examined them, I noticed that the outside pads were very thick and the inside ones were so worn and lopsided that they weren't even making full contact and that rust had formed on the inside. But I drive so little and my car is so old that I said fuck it, let's just replace the pads and see what happens. So far so good. Best would have been to replace both front calipers ($220 a pair) and had the rotors turned, as well as new pads. But even if they wear unevenly again, based on my current mileage, that would still be several years. So now I have half assed brakes in one car and a jb weld repaired oil pan in my other car. Ticking time bombs.

This is what happened to me.

I've been on Singulair for five months now and it was a total game changer. I can breathe better AND I don't feel like I want to claw my face off. Additionally, it had the side benefit of getting rid of my menstrual cramps.

Replace the rotors instead of turning them. Autozone has a lifetime guarantee on them. Keep bringing them back.

The difference in wear is usually not a good sign. It could be that the caliper is sticking, or that it's only closing the inside far enough to make contact. It's probably either impacting brake performance now, or will at some point, usually at the exact moment you need your brakes most. If there is a short list of car parts not to try to do a shade tree mechanic fix to, brakes are on them. Be careful dude.

One of the reasons why I have always been nervous about doing my own brakes.

Disc brakes are so easy, I can rework an axle in under an hour and barely get dirty. I lift off the lid to the master and push the fluid back up the line. " No need to bleed. "
