It's completely up in the air and undecided at this point, but if it starts to look like it is a reality you'll be the first to know. ;)

Anything beyond "Blanton's", I don't care to know. I'd be broke inside of a week. For me, that's as good as it gets in regards to Bourbon. However, 23 years...must be supa' smooth. I drink Bourbon for that bite though...a little piece of Americana to reach out and choke you a bit.

Haven't opened it yet. I've had the 20yr and it was the best bourbon I've ever had. Some places rate the 23yr as literally the best bourbon in existence. I'll most likely be saving it for a special occasion.

After seeing what bottles of this are going for online, I called them and reserved the other two bottles they had on hand. I'm going to offer my buddy who let me try his 20yr one of them for cost. The other one I'll probably flip online and basically cover half or more of the cost of all three of them.

I like Jack and his buddy Jimmy Bean. Jacks make several, old No.7 being the most widely sold. They have a single barrel and special reserve I like. I lik eit neat, on the rocks and mixed with coke.

i like evan williams for getting drunk. it tastes pretty decent for the price i think. maker's mark if i'm feel like having something a bit better. anything more expensive than that i would never drink. they definitely taste better but not worth the price tag imo.

i usually drink whiskey as a manhatten or straight with some water.

Fruity flavored "chick" booze will get you laid? I'm not buying it.

    Well, I did it.

There is all of one bottle of 23yr on eBay, and it is going for $369.75 + shipping. There are 3 bottles of 20yr on eBay, and I've been tracking them. Even the 20yr bottles get sold for more than I bought these 23yr bottles for. So I am going to flip at least one of them on eBay, maybe 2 of them, depending on how much eye rolling I get from my wife when she gets home and sees almost $700 worth of bourbon on the table.

She actually took it fine once I explained they weren't all for me. :p

As I think I mentioned I might do earlier, I offered my buddy who first turned me on to PVW a bottle at cost. He took me up on it, so I'm shipping him one of the bottles. Now I have to figure out (probably after opening my bottle) if I really. really want to sell that third bottle or keep it.

I am leaving for a hunting trip tonight. One of my buddies I'm going with is a big whiskey fan, so I'll probably crack it open up there and share some with him. :)

  18. Except it sounds like they ARE all for you! Good luck on that. :p

    I don't think I've ever had bourbon.

Though I do like whiskey in principle. I normally drink blended Irish and Canadian whiskeys.

On the rocks is nice, though neat works just fine.

I also like whiskey & soda, whiskey sours, and Manhattans. Yum.

So I've been spending the last few days contemplating whether to sell the 3rd bottle of PVW or not. About 4 hours after deciding "I'm going to keep it" I had someone offer me $400 for it. I'm having a hard time passing that up. Hmmmmmm.
