    I don't follow pop music, I'm happy as a geezer who thinks singers should actually be able to.......sing. With being a songwriter and/or an actual musician a plus. But I do wonder if Shakira is taking a shot at the female "recording artists" (now that is something to laugh at!) who rely on plastic surgery.

    Man, I missed karaoke. Was out for two weeks (Dragon Con one week, recovery from Dragon Con the second week), and I had such a blast last night.

    For the past 4 or 5 months I've been eating about 3 jars of crunchy peanut butter a month. (some weird kick I'm on)
    I started to notice on newly-opened jars that there is a higher concentration of nuts at the top of the jar.
    In other words, nuts float. Even in viscous peanut butter.

    Been watching Cumberbatch's Sherlock. Its pretty good. Onto season 3 now. Though I think it really owes it's success to Sheldon Cooper from the Big Bang Theory. Without that character, people wouldn't have been prepped for a tall skinny bad haircut high cheekbones asperger's character with no social skills or outward signs of sexual development. Here's to low social skill man-boy geniuses, whether British or American.

    Finally settling in at the hotel in Valentine, Nebraska and managed to duct tape the charger cable for my MacBook after pinching the business end in the desk drawer last night. This is a great little town. Pop. about 2,700 but has lots of businesses and services because it is the only town for miles around. County seat of Cherry County, which is about the size of New Jersey and home to only about 5,000 people.

    There is a place down by me that makes good ones. No mixes of any sort, nothing premade, they actually squeeze the limes by hand after you order. Most margarita snobs I've taken there have agreed with me that they are among the best they've had.

    Might try Frontera Grill, I've not had theirs they couple times I've been there, but I've heard good things about them. They are consistently on "best margarita in Chicago" lists.
