Check your Yahoo profile. Mine automatically renewed it. If not, next time I'm on a PC I can send it to you

In other news, Tony Romo is out for a couple of months with a broken vertebrae in his back.

  4. Found it and I'm in. Offline draft sounds a bit sketchy. Do we just take what we randomly get and hope for the best?

That type of draft is typically for guys who do an in-person draft party then post the results online. I'm hoping he switches it to an online draft soon.

I had predicted that Romo wouldn't stay healthy past the first four regular season games; he didn't even make it out of the preseason. I wish Romo a full recovery....but....not until after the cowgirls are so far in the hole his return won't make much of a difference.

    Oh, is that so :p?

I'm liking what I see from Osweiler & Savage, but the Texans running game yesterday was pretty bad.

Thirty-eight years old and getting even more injury prone; it's time for Romo to walk away while he's able to do so. Romo would be in good company on the long list of good NFL QBs who were never able to take their game to the next level.

This would be a good time for jackass jerry to do the smart thing. Since the 'girls are going to be playing with a new QB and will most likely (but maybe not???) have a crap season, jackass jerry should resign as GM, fire Garrett, and bring in some people who actually know football.

Of course jackass jerry won't do that. It would mean admitting that he as GM, and shadow HC, didn't get the job done for the last 20 seasons. And he has turned the cowgirls organization into a prime example of nepotism (it's tough to tell your father/FIL "No." when he has full control over your paycheck and your inheritance).

Some reports are saying that Bridgewater's injury yesterday was so severe he could've lost his leg. They are saying that the quick and proper response by the trainers/medics on site saved his career and possibly his leg itself. Wow.

So the last preseason game usually features players on the bubble. It's more about evaluating players before the final cuts than winning the game.

I still want the Texans to beat the crap out of the cowgirls.

I wonder how much playing time garrett (or should I say jackass jerry?) is going to give Prescott? He needs it, but since he's now (most likely) the starting QB, is it worth the risk of an injury? My Christell ball says he'll play at least a two quarters.

28-17 isn't an ass kicking, but I'll take it.

It sounded as though the Texans' fans were making almost as much noise as the cowgirls' fans.

Does Spencer Tillman get paid by the word?

I only got to see the last nine minutes of the Panthers-Broncos game.

The two penalties by the Broncos defense late in the game were incredibly stupid. You could make an argument (a very weak one) that the helmet-to-helmet was unintentional, Newton ducked into the hit. But the earlier hands-to-the-face? Inexcusable.

Some people will give Kubiak credit for 'icing' the Panthers' kicker. IMO sort of. Yes, the TO stopped/took away a successful, barely, FG. Which lead to the second attempt with a high snap. Who to blame? The snapper, or Gano?

The Broncos were very, very lucky to get the win.

At least the Panthers won't have to face the pressure of having an undefeated season .

A most excellent afternoon of football.

The Texans are 1-0, the other AFC South teams are 0-1. The Texans offense wasn't that impressive in points, but the stats might look good, certainly for Miller & Fuller. In the 2nd half the D came through big.

The cowgirls almost pulled it off, but blew it right at the end. At home. In a stadium full of their fans. I need to find the name of the guy who ran up-field instead of out of bounds. That dumbass will be real popular in Dallas :p :p :p :p.

More on the dallas cowgirls loss (dinner was ready last night just as I was posting)...

One loss at the beginning of the season usually isn't the end of playoff hopes. However, if the NFC East ends up being a total mess like it was last season, this win could wind up being a big positive for the Giants and a huge negative for the cowgirls.

OTOH , one of the NFC East teams might step up & dominate the division . Seriously, it wouldn't take that much for one team not to be as nearly as bad as the other teams.

Edit--I see that the Dolphins are doing the right thing with former Texan Arian Foster. His days as a 25+ carry RB are over (13 carries for 38 yards), but he can be used as a receiving threat (three catches for 62 yards, even though the one for 50 could be considered a fluke that makes his stats look better than they actually are. Of course he needs to stay healthy.
