Can't sleep. Thought the rain would help. Nope. 10 Cloverfield Lane didn't help. Mockingjay Part 2 is working a little. I'll sleep much better once I get a job, I suspect.

GS been sick for 3 days. So I've missed 3 days work. Stomach virus, he finally ate jello and saltines hope he holds it down. So I have been working on installing new laminate flooring. Looks like hardwood. getting the carpet out was great. Carpet , to me, is just nasty. Went and bought my first smart phone. Using it is so much fun. Using it now

GS still sick, just blew chow all over my new floor. WTF? I had to tear out the whole section cause it ran under the floor and was trapped between the moisture barrier. I got up at 4 am and worked all day.I was already tired. Thankfully this day is almost over. Gin and ice in one hand and a Pall Mall in the other. Time to let down and rejuvenate.

My wife is watching a James Bond movie marathon.

I have serious issues with 'suspension of disbelief.'

I'm going to go scrub down & sanitize the shower, toilet, & bathroom. No, not because of the Bond films.

    I'm sending a hug.
FB message me your address and I'll send you some orchid babies.
I'm sad I have to abandon the parent when we move. There is no one to take it. I've had it since 1996.

    Life is weird.

    I could have never predicted it...still can't.
And I'm a Futurist...I can figure out everything and have done so...except my own life.

  9. Things I learn when I procrastinate:

Madame Maxine of Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, was played by a really tall man, Ian Whyte. The same actor plays that scary thing in Game of Thrones.

I made it and I didn't die. Also, I crushed it. 29 more to go.

I am thinking of becoming a mortgage officer. It's something I had considered before since I did work in banking as a personal banker. A person I had sold a Wrangler to is a branch manager for an independent broker. He was happy working with me, and he knew I worked hard to make the sale happen. He has given my resume and a personal recommendation to a regional supervisor with Wells Fargo. He likes people starting with Wells because they are one of the few places to hire and train straight into lending. Says it's a good place to be for a couple of years to build a book of business. So wish me luck. I am dying selling (or not selling) cars. I am tired of 50+ hour weeks and working all day every Saturday and not having the income to show for it.

Babybelle is cuddly. I wear her in the sling while I work. I'm glad my offspring are slightly older now.

So glad this day is slipping into the evening. Worked 6 dias and 55 hrs. My drink is Gin and Juice and I am grateful for it.

  17. Relaxing with a cup of what passes for coffee at this hotel. Note to self: if the hotel states it has a Keurig in the room, bring your own coffee.

Good note. My husband has access to two beach houses because of his family; both have Keurigs. We always bring our own K cups even though we don't have a Keurig ourselves and there is always a random assortment of K cups to be had at the beach. I like my coffee strong and dark.

The Methodist Hospital System in the TMC has machines that use individual packets of coffee; it was nice to have a wide selection of coffees (also teas, cocao, etc.), freshly brewed. Also by selecting the size you control the strength of the brew.

BUT the amount of plastic used for one single cup of coffee is ridiculous.

I didn't get any free tickets/vouchers from the Ticketmaster settlement (looking back, I may have ordered tickets as a guest? I dunno), but I DID get a $17 credit from Apple for Kindle books. So, that's pretty rad.
