Well I'm learning codes and contracts have little to do with life down here. I've known they were issues for years. The extent those issues reach? Simply boggles my mind. Almost every wire in my house is green, 80% I'd say. Next favorite? White coming in it 15% and lastly black with a mere 5%. Not one wire is in what I would call "conduit" nor are any labeled as to wire they disappear to into walls, ceilings and dirt.

And, although my "contract" calls for copper pipes I quickly learned they mean copper where it can be seen. Once it 's covered by concrete it's PVC, cheap PVC. What can be done about this? Not much according to my attorney and two of my friends attorney's. You either accept the "Mexican way" or battle it out in court. In court you're likely to find the three judge panel is made up of one unrelated person in a black robe and two friends or family members of the builder. The builder wouldn't be doing this if he was going to lose out in some long drawn out (2 yrs min. I hear) court case.

So take your choice. Myself I've decided to bend over and take it with the small amount of lube they're currently offering rather than fight it any longer solely to find out out I'm still going to be getting it in the bent over position only now it's sans the lube they offered in the beginning. Talked to too many mentally unstable folks down here who decided they were right and they were going to get it "their way or else!" I'm sorry but from my viewpoint I'm in Mexico and I firmly believe I'm getting it the "Mexican way, or else!" Whether I like this fact is of no consequence.

Deals aren't fair here, many business people will lie to your face and smile while asking about the health of your mother... just the way it is. Right and wrong are either ghosts here or simply never resided here, here we just have the "Mexican way."

I have a fondness for the sun and my friends here are simply non-replaceable. So I'll stay and hopefully manage to fix the house before it falls down around us.

I have too much work at work and seemingly endless projects at home. Letting go and letting down tonight. It's early and I'm buzzed on Gin. Time for me to exit the TFP before I say something stupid. I will go visit my friends on Porn hub. Good night

I'm meh today and feeling rundown for no damn reason.

Only thing I can think of is a "hidden cold"
meaning, no obvious or consistent symptoms...but it is affecting my energy level. (a cough, a sneeze...here and there a few times a day, but that could be anything)

Which means I can't go to the gym...I have a rule about not going to the gym when ill. (1. it's rude to others. 2. makes it worse 3. need rest)

It's hard to find coffee that is as weak as I prefer.

fflowley Don't just do something, stand there!

I work on everything I'm ever asked to work on.
All kinds of shit I'm not responsible for doing, I do with a smile.
One thing I've made clear, I HATE working on the fucking EMR system. Not a secret.
So what did I get stuck doing this afternoon during some precious unscripted work time?
No good deed goes unpunished. I need to be a prick at work so people stop asking.

So I was talking to this guy about the price of a used truck. He says "well it would be a thousand or two less after I jew you down". Still amazes me that people use casual discrimination. I guess he figured one white guy to another.

The last stinkin' thing I need right now is for a hard drive to go bad in my NAS. It hasn't been turned off in 5+ years and it really, really didn't care for it.

The good news is that I have a 2 week old backup and the NAS is raid 5, anyway. I won't lose any data. The bad news is that I used 4x 2T Hitachi drives that aren't made any more. All of the drives have taken the same beating, I'd rather change all 4 and go another 5 years.

    You should've moved to Oklahoma :) :D :p.

As a young kid I used to wonder how my relatives in OK could literally drink coffee all day long. When I got older I realized they were drinking 'brown water.'

    I'm complaining about the bitchin'
And I'm bitching about the complaining.

Some people don't know how to enjoy a favor.
    It's never "good enough"

Well, guess what...no soup for you.

    Seasonal allergies?

What we're allergic to changes as we get older. I had a lot of students tell me they had "colds," and after I mentioned it was allergy season, some of them tried medication for the first time. It was a world of difference.

Plus, if allergies are around long enough without treatment, they can make you feel sick and rundown, and even lead to sinus infections, ear infections, and other upper respiratory nastiness.

Give me some more info as to what you're looking for and I might have some suggestions. You might try a cold brew concentrate, like from Trader Joe's, so that you can weaken it as much as you like.

I'm good with milking-down the drop coffee that Tt makes. I just wish I could find it at a coffee shop. I guess I can order a steamer with a splash of drip.

Tried asking for hot "coffee milk" ?
You're close enough to Cajun country that they're likely to understand it. That's what they give to Littles in their bottles. :)

One place I go keeps an urn of plain hot water for the folks who want to rebrew their hot tea bags. That should work great to weaken strong coffee w/o cooling it off.

Tell them you want an Americano, except instead of espresso ask them to use regular strength coffee.

Nah, I got rid of my allergies already...drove everyone crazy with my loud coughing.
I can tell...it's got a cold like feeling...not like I do with allergies.
A cough hear, a sneeze there...not often...just once or twice a day...mostly it just saps my energy.
