    I have the giggles now. The card machines for the trains from O'hare to the city got backed up with customers and started switching over to "cash only." The CTA lady started cussing at the machines and slapped one, proclaiming, "Oh, these damn things, they all getting ready to go down. They going down!" luckily, I grabbed a $5 this morning. But, I'm still laughing.

    One of our big bosses visited the Houston office. He took us out to dinner, and was complaining about the loud & extremely vigorous lovemaking by the couple in the room next to his. He said, "If they go at it again tonight, I'm going to make some noise of my own." I commented, "Hisfirstname, it doesn't count if you're by yourself."

    10:22pm and my baby is playing with a box. She was asleep by 8pm, I swear! That's what I get for leaving her with Daddy when I went to the grocery store.

    I ended up like that at a Towne Place Suites by Marriott in Joliet. I was a "walk up" at about 10:30pm and it was the last room that they had. Nice room, but again, kind of a waste.

    Ah, like two ships passing in the night...

    When I lived in Boston and made my regular drives to Kansas my regular westbound stop was at the Hampton Inn at that I-80 exit. At that point I was west of the Chicago traffic for the next morning. And I had the option, depending on the weather, of continuing west on I-80, or going south on I-55 and then west on I-72 and US-36 across MO.

    I got a Marriott Rewards Visa about a year ago, so now usually try for one of the Marriott family of properties. They're not as plentiful as Hilton family hotels by the roadsides, which is important to me since I drive, I don't fly. I'll probably go back to Hilton once I use up my Marriott rewards.

    That is so true...I say it almost daily. Happiness as we may perceive it, is totally up to us, it is a choice. Not just actions, things we do that make us happy, like posting here on the TFP, but real internal happiness, as in; I am happy with myself and all my misgivings. I have come to laugh at my history and so many of my current daily choices. I could be hard on myself and all others around me, however, I choose to be happy today!
