I can't stand dealing with insurance companies.

Don't get mad at me because I can barely hear you and the call keeps breaking up.

You're the one calls me on the cell phone while you're in a building that you know causes problems with cell phones.

You're the one who calls me using the vehicle Bluetooth that you know has an annoying delay, and sounds warbley and distant.

Man, how soon did I forget how much someone can make you work your ass off maintaining a home.
    Not that I'm complaining... ;):p

Insurance company = We think your bike is worth X. You really have no say in what we think it is worth unless you want to go to a huge amount of hassle, so just deal with it.

Me = Do you take into consideration upgrades, engine work, very recent maintenance, or things like that in your appraisal?

Insurance company = Sure, but only if you have the receipts.

Me = I have every receipt for every dollar spent on this bike since it was purchased new. *sends them ~$11,000 in upgrades, engine work, etc. NOT including normal maintenance (mostly spent by the original owner)*

Insurance company = Thanks for all the info. We now will give you X + $419.

I didn't expect anything but pennies on the dollar, but I kind of expected at least 10 or 12 pennies, not 4.

Wanna come shovel my snow? We got another foot or so this weekend.

I'm a big fan of winter sports; but even I've had enough winter for this year. My motorcycle is getting lonely.

I will never ask someone, "How are you doing?" I have no idea how to answer this vague question. People have been asking me recently, and they keep pressing for more details, "Good, how are you?" is not enough of an answer. It's... confusing. I have no idea what they want to hear. I stop myself short of saying, "I have no idea. Fine, I guess. I'm still alive, right? So I suppose I'm doing fine."

I guess I need to come up with some way of deflecting these questions. Perhaps I should start rambling about the weather. Or ask their opinions on current obscure local political concerns. Yes, that. I'm going to do that.

Heavier freight at work the past couple nights. Percentages took a dive, and I haven't been this sore since I started.

I fantasized about just walking out last night. Got me through the last few hours.

My answer is "Well enough, how about yourself?"
Which leaves the ball in their court and gives them nothing to hang on to in term of coming back.

If you really don't like them, and can afford to alienate them....Tell them you very recently recovered from an extremely nasty intestinal virus, and give them a vivid & detailed description of your bowel movements. End it with "I read that the virus can possibly be spread through casual contact."

I'm so fucking aggravated that I spent over 45 minutes stuck in traffic this morning to get to our other office across town early for an intake. They fucking called a week ago to reschedule and no one told me. Someone checked the message because it was read. The only reason I know is because I checked the voicemail again this morning and there was another message from the mom. Fuck this shit.

Looks like it's going to be one of "those" days...:confused:

You ever stick your foot in your mouth so bad that it is the equivalent of dropping a grenade at your feet??
Then when you haven't wounded yourself enough, you decide to launch a bazooka at a bunker.

Meanwhile, I can't breathe and sound like a friggin' bull moose. Damn allergies.

Allergies have laid me low. I took a claritin yesterday and then this morning, but it doesn't even feel like it has touched them.

Looks like my phone bit the dust again...for the same reason it did only NINE MONTHS ago. I love the S4, but it may be time to move on.

I used to (and still do) really like the combo nasal decongestant & antihistamine meds. One little tablet containing chlorpheniramine maleate 4 mg & psuedoephedrine HCI 60 mg would take care of just about any any allergy problem. I still not convinced that the government crackdown on products containing psuedoephedrine was necessary or effective, it's not like it caused a severe long term shortage of crystal meth.

I live on advil sinus in the yellow box this time of year. With the new calcium channel blockers for the headache, that's a no. I'm getting improved blood circulation to the brain but my oxygen intake capabilities are limited.

I'm fortunate that most of my allergies that cause any real problems are food allergies. For the most part they're not an issue, usually just tickley or very slightly swollen sinuses, but every once in a while I'll overdo it and pay the price with hives.

My wife has to be extremely careful, airborne and food allergies, she'll go into respiratory shutdown. She takes a 24 hour tablet every morning, fexofenadine hydrochloride 180 mg which is a generic Allegra. Even the generic ones are expensive. I question the effectiveness and the fact that her doctor claims that she "can't" write her a prescription for Allegra (which the pharmacy would switch to a generic per the insurance guidelines for which we would pay very little).
