They didn't like the fart scene around the campfire best? I laughed so hard.

 

I have not been in the Colorado State Patrol since Sept 11, 2015. My corporal and sergeant had decided that they no longer wanted me in the patrol and built a case that I was "not safe". I had an administrative hearing where I made the mistake of representing myself. I then foolishly agreed to let my corporal evaluate me over four weeks to prove that I was capable of doing my job after four years of already doing it. Needless to say, every single thing was nitpicked to death to further the case against me. And I did not realize for most of the time that he was actively trying to get rid of me. Near the end I realized that every time I did something right the bar was being moved. At the end I did retain an attorney so I could negotiate my resignation. I have not really wanted to talk to anyone about this because it really fucking hurt. It still does. I was out of work for two months until I went back to selling cars which I had done from 2005-2007. I spoke to another trooper who I respect highly, and she said they also tried to force someone else out after me.

I normally find most fart jokes to be extremely juvenile because......they usually are extremely juvenile. The campfire scene in Blazing Saddles was so over the top it was hilarious.

 

it's been 3 years since my last post on tfp!!! the place that was once my home... my salvation... my courage... my escape from the world. i feel absolutely terrible that i've neglected it for so long!! here's to being more active going forward!! i've missed you all!!

Welcome back! IIRC you & your hubby were very active, and are now proud parents (I'm going to feel like an idiot if I'm wrong on either or both counts).

 

Woohoo! Thanks, all. I had a gingerbread ale this morning while sitting on my porch & watching the birds at the feeder. Then I slept most of the day, and now I'm getting ready to go back into work. Working on your birthday is no fun This week should be pretty cool, though: Purple Rain at the theatre, shopping for some new clothes, a grown-up arcade, homemade veg biscuites and gravy from Eden, a banana split from the local ice cream place, and maybe a minor league baseball game. w00t!

 

You are not wrong ;-) it's good to be back!
