Motherfuckin' jet lag is brutal right now. I keep waking up at ~3 like I've got somewhere to be. Then I crash at ~1000.

    ...

According to two different studies using OkCupid, women respond more to sulky dudes using power poses than smiley guys in dress clothes.

Given how wrong I was about trying to look friendly, successful and respectful, I'm surprised my ugly ass got any action at all.

Yes, you can even get tired of the bullshit of someone you like.

Question is, do you call them on it?
    I do.

Not mean, not rude...but choose your time and put it out there.

Jeebus, the target range is slammed. I'll have to wait until tonight.

I can't train right in a crowd of newbs shotgunning targets at 7 yds.

I'm so tried of building this house. A year and half into a eight month project and we're down to cabinet installation et el. Started at 0545 and by the time we had the "pick the designs you want" meeting at 1930 I believe I fell hook line and sinker the old "bait and switch."

Least the house is now square and the plumber now seems to get the concept that water/liquid rounds downhill. Only took four month to convince him that this an important point.

    It's 2130 on a Saturday, I'm going to bed.

I haven't had a single day alone, not even an hour, since my grandson moved in. The actual alone time is limited to the 10 minutes in the car to and from daycare. as a matter of fact he is sitting here talking to me right now. It's a good thing he can't read. My dumbass Son got his ass fired. We worked side by side, until Friday March 9th, when the super walked him out the door. I was doing everything I could to help him and come to find out he did it to himself. He went backward in life on purpose. Now I have to add my GS to my insurance another 200$ a month. Having guardianship is costing me between 600$-800$ a month. Now come to find out that my hopes of his mother trying to get him are dashed. She has a warrant out for AB w/a deadly weapon. That stupid bitch assaulted a man over a drug incident, she hit him with an ax handle over his head. I am coming around to the idea that I am raising this boy. His dad won't even call him on the phone or come see him. And the fact that that retard is my Son pisses me off even more. We get up between 4:30 and 5:00 a.m. and my days are full until 7:00 p.m. or later. And when I am not busy all I want to do is rest. I had to run the chainsaw on Sunday and Sandy mowed the lawn. 7 fucking hours. I am 53 yrs old for Gods sake. I was almost immobile after that and that includes the following day. Told my neighbor I wanted to sell my home and move into town. I need to reduce my cost of living and I don't have the time and energy to take care of this place. 2 days later a non english speaking Russian couple came to look at my property, 2 days after that his english speaking Son called me and said the mortgage was approved. Now I'm just waiting on the inspection and appraisal. I couldn't afford my truck any more either so I traded down to Hyundai Elantra. My whole life and the direction it was going has been turn like an Oklahoma tornado hit it. WTF

    /me hands Popeye a beer.
Thanks for being such a good grandfather and taking on raising your grandson like that, even with all the sacrifices you have to make.
In the long run it will mean a lot.
There might even come a time when your son will get his shit together and start being a dad.
Good luck to you and g-d bless.

    Very sorry to hear man.

My wife works in the medical field. She says that it amazes her how many of their patients are children being raised by their grand parents in their 50-70s. Sad deal. The hope is that at least the grand kids get a stable environment that way.

I'm sorry to hear that you're having to go through this. About all I have is hang tough, and take some deep breaths when encessary. One of my sisters has been in a similar situation for many years. Her son is a deadbeat who goes back & forth with sobriety and works sporadically. One of her daughters has no mothering skills at all, had jumped around between boyfriends for about 18 years (provided no stable home environment at all for her children), has been homeless, and is currently facing the very real possibility of prison (not jail) time.

I don't mean to be a bummer, but my sister's grandchildren are ungrateful shits who automatically expect everything of their grandmother, even in situations where my sister can't do a thing. The sacrifices made by and money spent by my sister & my BIL (her second husband, not the kids biological father) is nearly incalculable.

    It's tough situation.
