Strength is everything. I learned this because I wasn't strong. I'm still not. You can be fit but strength is where you make your money as a man doing manly things.

Body weight workouts are great... all that military crap, one million pushups, flutter kicks until the instructor gets tired, blah blah. Endurance is a big plus.

Endurance, however, is not king. Strength is king. Being able to pick something up off the ground, being able to hold something over your head.

Show me a guy that can hold a horse stance for four hours and I'll show you a skinny guy that probably can't squat twice his body weight.

At work we've got a lot of alpha males... guys that have run 100-mile races, guys that are in the 1200 pound club, real Greek gods.

The guys that are the most useful for hero shit are the ones that can not only carry their weight, but carry yours if necessary.

The language god offers to instantly download one language into your brain. You will be completely fluent, perfect accent, you now speak it like a native. What language do you choose, and why?

The downside of strength is that everybody wants you to help them move. I guess it's just like owning a pickup truck, but with sweat stains.

For me, I think Mandarin would probably be the most lucrative. Czech would be the most fun based on my time in Prague.

A combination of strength and endurance is best. I worked for a moving company decades ago. The guys who could easily move the piano, pool table, etc. were certainly useful, but not if they were knackered after a few hours of work.

On the flip side, though... you couldn't get the job done without them. Generally speaking, there is always more time in a day or more average (read: weak-ass) people that can pitch in.

What there isn't more of is the ability to magically gain 200 pounds on your deadlift. Again, I say this as a guy that is desperately trying to get to 405 on his deadlift.
