I don't know if I have already complained about this before, but it bugs me. Roadside memorials that family or friends have erected for dead people. I don't care that your kid or sibling or friend died on that very spot. I don't need to be reminded of it every time I pass. If your dad keeled over at mcdonalds choking on a chicken nugget, do you think they are going to let you set up a memorial at the booth? You have a cemetery to remember that shit.

    =(

I voted today. I doubt it will make any difference whatsoever. But it would eat me up inside if I sat out on this primary.

Back when I was in HS knives, sharpened rakes (for those who remember them), and anything handy such as dicarded bricks were the weapons of choice. I don't remember hearing any news reports of any shootings there (it still stands), but I wouldn't be shocked.

He said at the end of November that he was cutting back on the Internet for a couple of months to get some things done, and he hasn't been back since :(

I can appreciate the need to cut back on Internet time to take care of things in real life.

    Still miss him, though.

Arrrgh...my own sister voted for Trump.

    Rubio, sure...no problem.
But to vote for such a vile liar...

    It doesn't compute.

And is Hillary (who says she tries to tell the truth) less of a liar, or just less vile about it?

To be honest I don't see her as being any more of a liar than your average politician which isn't a good thing but there you go.
However, I'm pretty sure she understands the concept of honesty.
Drumpf on the other hand has no such concept, he says whatever he wants without care at all.
The vileness comes from the core of their beings.
Drumpf is clearly a sociopath while I'd say Hillary is a politician.
This country has been run by politicians for better and worse for a couple of hundred years, it'll do all right.
Someone like Drumpf on the other hand ...
I have no idea what will happen but I'm pretty certain it won't be good.

One of my sisters is a total sucker for any "conservative," esp if they spout "family values." The crazy thing is she and a couple of her kids and some of her grandkids benefit from social programs. Trying to explain to her how conservative Republican control of the Presidency & Capitol Hill could adversely affect them for many years to come is like beating my head against a brick wall.

And she staunchly believes every negative thing said about Obama. She thinks that employers hiring part-time workers to avoid providing insurance and other benefits is the fault of Obamacare. I tell her employers not hiring full-time workers to avoid providing benefits has been going on for many decades--but no, it's all Obama's fault!.

The conservative attack machine has been after Hillary for decades. Does anyone really think Donald Trump can withstand the same level of scrutiny that she has?
Hillary withstood 11 hrs of politically motivated congressional grilling by a former federal prosecutor and came out looking pretty poised. The Donald whines about Megan Kelly.

I'm hardly a Hillary fan; but this will be an either/or election. I'd prefer someone that is actually presidential.

I don't know the quote this is referencing, so I'm without context. But it's kind of silly to give her a hard time for saying something like that, isn't it? I don't think it's very realistic to expect a secretary of state and presidential candidate to never have to engage in subterfuge or show discretion. It would be rather naive to expect her to be 100% honest all the time, and it would be an obvious lie if she claimed she was. That's a mile away from Trump, who seems to think the truth is an entirely subjective affair. There's a world of difference between "I strive to be honest though I'm not always able to be" and "I'm just going to say what I feel like and facts be damned."

The fact that so much of what Trump says is so easily falsifiable makes him look foolish. The fact that he's doing so well in spite of this is troubling.

I'm really pretty pissed about the fact that they waited until my daughter's birthday to get back to me on the edits. I've been waiting a month. Beautiful, sparkling blue sky and gorgeous weather... and I don't get to spend it with my girls at the park.

Actually, I just have to look at the stats on Politifact. I'd say she, while not a saint, isn't too bad. (on par with Obama)
Just easily observing the obvious blatant lies Trump says, much less how he says it.

Now, it's one thing to say "you just don't like her" which is fair. (I have yet to see any of the claims against her stick...although she seems to attract them like bees to a flower)
But, this isn't the same as Trump. Who has no class. (not materially, if you like nouveau Midas ...I mean personality-wise) And will flip a fact like a dime.
God knows what they'll find on him. (because the media digs like a hound dog, especially once the general election starts...much less his opponents...including many in the GOP)

There are those you just don't "trust", I get it.
And then there are those that are outrageous pathological liars. (Joe Izusu has more integrity...)

    One's a molehill
The other is a mouth mountain.

It's from a CBS News interview. I saw it here, but the interview is cited in numerous places.
Hillary Clinton 'always tried' to tell the truth to the American people | Daily Mail Online
One instance cited was her claim in 2008 that she had been under sniper fire in Bosnia, and then apologized when video recordings showed the claim to be false.
She also says 'But, you know, you're asking me to say, "Have I ever?" I don't believe I ever have,' she said. I don't believe I ever have. I don't believe I ever will. I'm gonna do the best I can to level with the American people.'

And my post said absolutely nothing to indicate that I thought Trump was any paragon of truth.

So, we can debate as to which of the two major candidates is the less vile liar. Nice.

Is Hillary the less vile liar? I don't know. @rogue49 apparently thinks so. Whose vial of lies is half empty and whose is half full?
