I don't normally care much for gospel songs and spirituals, but this song caught my attention when my wife was watching a Criminal Minds rerun. I actually tracked it down, not many songs inspire me to do so.

I had never heard of Ruthie Foster, but was somewhat familiar with the amazing group The Blind Boys of Alabama.

On the acoustic guitar forum several members were convinced that many of the North Korean children's performances videos were doctored/re-recorded. I don't know and can't tell because many times the audio & visual isn't in sync.

Bad sound/video sync on youtube is one of my pet peeves. When a conductors beat is out of sync with the music, the trombone slides are moving but the note being played doesn't change, violin bowings are off-beat... arrgh!

I'm on a swing kick right now.
If you haven't heard of Alice Francis, go look her stuff up.
She's from Germany, combines, swing and hip hop, and is frelling incredible.

Yes, sad news... Maj. Tom's dead and gone. After this eye opener I'll find some Bowie to enjoy.

David "Bowie" Jones was a seriously talented artist (not just in music).

    RIP, Mr. Bowie.

If I could be a hero, for just one day.

The man helped design and set up the New York Yankee's web site several years before it was common for companies to have web sites.

Right now, out of all the things my Ex held onto, I'd really like to have my stub from seeing Bowie in Brisbane.

Under the moonlight, the serious moonlight.

I am listening to more Bowie than normal.

IIRC Peter Gabriel was one the first recording artists to work with computers and mixed media. I think it had something to do with Kiss That Frog.
