Like what? Taste preferences come into play here. I will say that Netflix is a vast repository for so many awesome single season wonders that it too has me wondering what is the crucial spark between one shot / obscurity and a boxed set.

Not sure how these are related. I haven't had cable TeeVee since I left my parents' house to join the Ah-Mee in the early 2000s... so I have no idea what anybody is missing.

Hell, the only time I see proper TeeVee is in hotel rooms: either on business travel or during vacation. It's like junk food dessert for my tiny lizard brain. Enjoyable at first, regretted later.

You seem like a smart lady. As such, you are probably bored with a lot of television. Between listening to pharmaceutical commercial's side effects disclaimers and trite sitcoms, it's all pretty barf-tastic.

 

Well, have you seen the latest? I think T5 ("Genisys") did a solid job of wrapping up the series. Decent casting--especially good with Sarah Connor--and all the required car smashing, close range face shooting, skinless cyborg menacing... plus their '80s flashback scenes with jizz-in-your-pants fantastic with the attention to detail, the '80s Arnold CGI, the trench coat / Nikes scene... all the time travel stuff was spot on. The overarching Skynet plot was a little vague but it had become a rolling franchise.

I think it's done and I'm okay with that. T3 was a horrible direct-to-DVD sci-fi (heh, SyFy) action comedy, T4 was okay as a stand alone film (great focus on the T600s/T800s) but too noir for my taste. Christian Bale overacted like whoa.

Only thing that could have made Genisys better would be more damaged T-800 fight scenes and a decent shot of Emilia Clarke's tits as per the T1 standard (big hair would have been a huge bonus).

Well, Coors Light is a solid choice for volume that won't make you gag the way those suitcase beers do. Bud Light tastes like bananas and Miller Lite can be a bit watery.

Predator, Cobra, The Dirty Dozen

Hrrm, that's tough. I usually buy trashy detective novel compilations off Amazon for a few bucks. A dozen books by various authors. Usually mediocre.

Stieg Larson's Millenium series (GWTDT) was cool because it felt like an '80s Michael Crichton novel written by a horny goth kid hopped up on Jolt cola.

 

I'm afraid you're going to have to be content with reruns of Season 1 Game of Thrones. Clarke has said in more than one interview that she's very uncomfortable with nude scenes and she's not going to do any more. Damn pity, if you ask me.

 

Did she read the damned books before doing the show? If so, she's an idiot. If not, she's also an idiot.
