What's your desk chair like?

Every good (expensive) chair that I have ever looked at has been too big. The seats are usually at least half a foot too wide for my little butt, and too deep from to back as well, so offer no back support.

They all seem designed to fit a 250lb male with long upper (butt to knee) legs, and to look impressive.

My cheap ($85) so-called 'task chair' fits me well and offers several adjustments. In my home office, I don't need to impress anyone with my 'executive' status, but I do want adjustability and comfort.

And good wheels, so I can scoot all around my small office without getting out of the chair. On my current chair, I removed the right hand armrest so that I can slide sideways off the seat.

its not really a desk chair, its more of a stool at my tool box, lets just say that its old and has lots of duct tape on it to hold the foam in it

I bought a 65 cm stability ball yesterday to use as a desk chair. I actually really like it. Definitely making me focus on my posture, which is a plus.

It's too short, though. Since I can't lower my workspace, I may end up taking this one home and buying a 75 cm next weekend.

It is literally that. Also known as a fitness ball or a yoga ball.

Another popular use for them is sex time fun.

    Also exercising, if you're boring.

Late to the party, but I used to have one of these when I was studying at university.

It really was the most comfortable chair I ever had. I'd love to try one now as a fully grown (far too fully grown) adult.

Yup. A ball that's too short, but otherwise surprisingly comfortable.

I was wary of getting one of those because of the price...just a stability ball is only 10 or 20 bucks. I think I may have to suck it up and spend the money, though, if this ball is any indication.

Edited to add that I may well use this one for exercise, but not "exercise." heh.

Cheap black pleather Ikea desk chair. The Sjallbornknompfkaframh or whatever.

I'd like a chair with speakers in the headrest for '80s hair metal jam sessions, though.

    ...

My job puts me in offices all over the place where the furniture is pretty beat up.

One of my biggest pet peeves is a broken lift pillar. I can't stand a chair that is too low.

As such, I take hose clamps with me to splint them using pieces of PVC pipe. Ghettofab.

    ...

Protip: If you're banging a girl on an exercise ball, make sure she's either far away from the walls or wearing a helmet.

    Heh.

    HOSE CLAMPS.

You might have just solved the entire problem for me, 9er.

Seriously. Hose clamps. Why didn't I think of that?

(on the other hand, I *am* kinda committed to the stability ball chair now. Perhaps both will be in order here.)

You'd be surprised what you come up with when you're living in a post-apocalyptic hotel room.

I liked my high-backed exec chair with arm rests
    and a soft cloth material

    Don't like leather or mesh

But I broke it...or crushed it over time.
I break most chairs...even the ones made for large men.
    This one lasted for awhile

hmm...maybe I shouldn't lean back so hard when I'm looking at porn... (doesn't help, I'm sure)

So I'm looking for a new one...but I'll take my time, get what I want...and not too expensive.
@Lindy it looks like you've taken all the ones I need (250 lbs male with long upper (butt to knee) legs, etc... :p)

My "desk chair" is now a mat and a recumbent bike. When I need to write emails and otherwise deal with stuff, I go to the gym and work from my phone.
