My kiddo actually got a 'mentor' who looked at her and said "Why do I always get the skinny blondes who have no idea what these kids are going through?" (It was a class of kids from Anchorages lower income families).
MY daughter didn't tell the rude bitch that she grew up in a trailer court with trips to the food bank and food stamps on a few occasions or had worked very hard to loose 70 pounds.
She just worked her ass off to learn everything she could and get the hell out of there.

I wear drugstore makeup. I don't wear fancy jewelry. I buy discount candles. I can sew my own tote bags. I don't want anything to do with your "miracle weight loss" shit.

    GAAAAAAHHHHHHH.

That reminds me of the early internet days. AOL used to list every recipient in their emails. It seemed as everybody and their mother used those lists to promote some kind of home business. I reached the point where I responded that if they didn't take me off their email list, I would sign them up for every outrageous site that I could find: Porn, KKK, NRA, Unitarian Universalist (many of the emails were for Christian products), NORMAL, etc.

This is a program for first year teachers, and I'm required to participate as part of my contract. Yaaaaay.

My mentor is supposedly a cool lady. I just wish she'd gotten to know me before giving me advice.

I miss my old mentors. We'd get drunk and bitch. Much more helpful.

Plus, the shit they're selling is twice the price of drugstore and looks as if it performs the same or worse. I'll stick with my Cover Girl.

Younique. Jamberry. thirty-one. Mary Kay. Avon. Plexus. It Works! (no it doesn't.) Origami Owl. Scentsy. Arbonne. La-vel. Beach Body.

    It never. Fucking. Stops.

Sure, if you're a close friend or family member, I'll humor you for a little while. I might even buy the least expensive thing in the catalogue if my bills are caught up and I have some extra cash. But if you haven't talked to me since high school, and the very first contact you make has something to do with your "FUN ONLINE PARTY"? Yeah, fuck right off with that shit.

I'm tired for no damned good reason.

And it's pissin' me the fuck off.

    I hate these cycles.
And no, it's not health or me getting older....it happened when I was young too...I just didn't care or wasn't aware or just was lazy or slept it off.
Now, I'm aware of it...and I want to be productive.

So should I figure out how to resolve it or surpass it...or just become oblivious again??

See...I think that's the real problem of getting older...it's not that you have less energy...you just prioritize it different.
It's that your expectations of yourself and what you want to has changed.
What you blew off before...now, you want to do...and it upsets you that you can't.

I'm trying to "let go"...but I still can't as well as I did when I was young.

Time to go "force" myself to relax.
Why?? Because I'm friggin' stressed and tired...that's why.
What??!! You want me to die?

You want to know how long it takes to drive from point A to point B, when you've been there before, they are your customer, and you basically travel for a living? I really wanted to respond "Here, lmgtfy...".

It's basically the start of the fall tv season. Gotham and Big Bang Theory both premier tonight. Of course comcast xfinity is completely down, at least til 11. Fuck you, xfinity. And fuck you for making it so that I can't even watch what I have stored on my dvr because it won't connect to your platform. I have already downloaded it, and you shitbutts are holding it hostage.

Wanna come with me where there's no TV for 12 whole days and nights? Haha.

I'm kind of looking forward to it. It will be very different than my current situation. But I think I watch too much TV anyway. I will miss Empire though...may have to find a way to watch that!

    And boo, I can't sleep.

I seriously don't think I'd even miss it much. Last week I watched the evening news twice, a 'Husker football game, a Royals baseball game, and... that's it. Sometimes, for days at a time, I don't even turn it on.

    5:30am central and I can't sleep either.
