    Just had a nice time at DC's Awesome Con 2015 :cool:


    And I behaved myself...not that way, I mean fiscally.
    Saw the stars of Starship Troopers, Jay of Jay & Silent Bob...and the female vampire owner of True Blood. (actually got into a nice conversation with her)
    But that was just a bit of time...it was more about seeing the sights, the art, the vendors...and the costumes.


    Made some connections, talked to some old-school IT mercs like me, trading war stories...and the govt. game.
    May assist the new & upcoming Museum of Science Fiction with their infrastructure and virtual setup. (and work with NASA...)
    That was very unexpected...I did not think I'd be syncing with something like that, this was supposed to be brainless and fun...but I ended up running out of business cards there.

    It's a strange world...and I'm not talking about the characters I saw there.

    I've been looking for the first to Blondie albums to replace the ones I gave up when I moved down to NJ and I finally found a decent copy of Plastic Letters.
    To go with that I found Luscious Jacksons first album which is very cool.
    I also found Elton John's Madman Across the Water an album I've been hunting for quite some time.

    Her name isn't Bruce anymore. She's Caitlyn Jenner, and it's considered bad form to refer to a post-transition person as the gender they aren't presenting as any longer, fyi.

    And before I hear the cries about the PC police from other people: these aren't PC semantics. They are people semantics. Imagine how you would feel if someone kept calling you the wrong name.
