Last night was pan fried boneless pork tenderloin chops (I think that's what the package read), with 'secret seasoning' courtesey of my wife. I was in charge of the lima beans and cauliflower.

Tonight I'm on my own, so dinner could be great or meh.

New York steaks from Costco preseasoned.
I buy a couple of the big trays and trim them out, (though they are actually not too bad, better then most grocery store steaks for the same price) season them and freeze to pull out as needed.

I read a recipe for a savory slab pie in this cookbook. Like the bibimbap recipe, it was overly complicated and fussy for what it was. I used it as a departure point for something different. I don't quite know what to call it, but I ended up with vegetables layered with cheese on top of an almond crust, with about half a jar of tomato sauce poured over the top. It's really very good; some minor adjustments would make it spectacular.

Not sure yet, but I'm positive that it will not require boiling water for rehydration and be eaten in the pouring rain from a bag.

    Red curry.

I am kind of thinking I might do a different curry (Japanese or Indian) tomorrow night. Curries across cultures!
