    Awesome. Despite a series of hellish return flights with no sleep, I managed to give the woman a double-sexing so good that it made her cry.

    The 'frige is mostly empty and the milk has a February sell-by date on it. I drank some anyway but I should probably go grocery shopping.

    I feel a little like the guy in Memento every time I come home: How did I get this life? Are these my things? What should I do?

    Going to Nashville next week. Jack Daniel's distillery, more drinking on a riverboat cruise and something about a red panda.

    Yes, absolutely. Someone called to rattle my cage. I am completely sure that's all it was. If it had happen in the states my alert level wouldn't have peaked at all. Down here in Mexico, even though I live in a very safe city and state, you never really know if someone is a threat and you are not legally allowed weapons that you could use for protection. So I take double the precautions I would if I lived north of the boarder.

    Made a two brick forge today. Found a pottery supply store that had real firebrick in stock. This stuff is super light. Like pumice. I used an ice cream scoop at the end to refine the chamber. Once I got a good propane/mapp gas torch it worked like a treat. Was able to take a hardened piece of steel to orange and the let it air cool to drive the temper out and anneal the steel. The small chamber in the bricks concentrates the heat,allowing for a hot chamber. Later I will be able to heat treat and quench,hardening the steel again.

    Me: "I just really hate when the personal trainer stands behind me, even though his client is on the next machine over."
    Friend: "That would unnerve me too."
    Me: "It pisses me off--I can't read erotica while I'm on the recumbent if he's standing right there."
    Friend: "Figures."

    She and my husband both rolled their eyes and we had a good laugh.

    It's been spring here for going on a month and a half, which sucks. We needed the snowpack. :( We're going to regret all of this in July and August when everything is brown.
