None of what anybody said has wonder woman beating superman. He crushes her with a meteorite. Flies her into the heart of the sun. Breaks her bones. The flash is also depicted as faster. Big whoop.

Now wait a minute...it's not like WW is paper in comparison to Superman.
    These days...
Plus super-speed, super-hearing, super-healing, etc and so on.
Then add in her training...and she's more ruthless than Superman.
And she also there is her resistance to both normal and supernatural fire... (so much for the heat-vision)
AND "due to her divine origins, Diana can resist many forms of magical manipulation". (which Sups is vulnerable too)

So, Superman has more raw power...but WW has the skill and toughness to potentially win over it.

Really, both characters flux with their powers depending on who's publishing at that time...so a match up would be interesting. (it goes up & down)
But of course, since they're now dating...it's unlikely they'd fight...unless he pisses her off. ;)

IRL rumor, but wouldn't it be a great cross-over to a film and casting...

At least she got rid of that silly invisible plane.
What's the point of it being invisible when you aren't?

No, she's definitely no woman of kleenex, unlike Lois lane. That's why superman and wonder woman have been in a long term affair. Who else could keep up with him sexually and not be killed?

Going with another huge item in Popular Culture. There is a specific thread about the Walking Dead already but this question is more of a broad genre one.
If you found yourself caught in a world full of zombies what would you grab/carry/make to defend yourself against the undead and the generally bigger threat of nasty humans survivors? Would it make a difference in your decisions depending on the details?
    such as:
    0) Classic slow George Romero zombies
    1) The mix of sprinting and slow zombies like Zombieland
    2) Zombies that run at full speed the whole time like that Brad Pitt film that was based on what had to be a much better book (couldn't finish the film, but I did try).

And....would you double tap the zombie version of your "favourite Democratic/Republican elected official" when you encountered them just because you could?

Well, the first is to be secured...I'd likely pick up a crowbar for protection as well as getting into places. Most important clothing would be thick and durable...and very light sneakers. (like those mountain climbing shoes)
Hopefully, it's not winter...because then we're screwed...as heating is gone and clothing needs to be cumbersome. I'd also get a sling or slingshot. And a gun, but that should only be used last, if at all. (plastic coke bottles can be good mufflers)

I'd try to not get to the nearest sports store or food store...as everyone would be going there...and if I could take over and secure a store, it would home-depot or lowe's...most wouldn't be going to this...and you could lock it with materials.
Then you'd have a bunch of useful but not normally available materials, including chemicals, tools and building materials.
There'd be snacks and drinks there which they have typically for convenience...and they're in a mall normally, nearby to a foodstore, which you can scout periodically, or trade with whoever secured it.

In the long-run, I'd try to get down south, near a civilized but lightly populated island. That way, you've got access to the left-overs of modern life, but you can secure the island and not as many zombies on it or getting to it.
I'd again, secure a chain hardware store...and locate a police/jail for extra security if necessary during a "Herd"...herds usually move away.

Walking Dead or Romero zombies would be fairly "easy" to deal with...but the WWZ or Zombieland would be seriously difficult.
But in any case...Don't Make Noise.

No I wouldn't go out of my way for a politician or any zombie...I may make an effort to destroy any zombied loved ones...out of a sense of closure and piece of mind. But priority is safety, period. And saving resources. (including bullets)

I have been watching Haven lately on Netflix and one of the first things I thought of when I saw the bolt gun in the trunk* was "that looks useful for zombies on a smaller scale".

*specific details below for those that have seen the show

right before the skinwalker shoots Nathan and then blames the troubled paramedic of course

Problem with anything mechanical, it sooner or later runs out of fuel or supplies...or they fail.
I prefer to retain the things that are sturdy and have multiple uses...crowbar & machete and such.
Like the machete is solid and can be used for clearing plants and other uses.
An axe is good and so on...
Anything that you'd use in the middle of the jungle day after day, without guns.

    Of course, there's immediate short-term survival...and then long-term.
Short term is any port in a storm...but you can only last so long that way.

WWZ speed zombies, you'd have to have a VERY secured place, that's the only thing to survive.
Prisons, secured facilities, anything enclosed and heavy barriers and locks. (and it mutes sound)

What if you were caught in a short-term Time Loop scenario...like Edge of Tomorrow...or even better Groundhog's Day?
    What would you do??

I'd travel, read all those books that I want to read
    Learn some skills, music, etc.
Take advantage of the singles scene.

If there was pain, evil or injury involved...I'd try to help.

The big question with this is whether you are caught in the Groundhog Day loop where you have various options such as stealing the money from the armored truck, taking the homeless guy to the hospital, etc, etc or or caught in the Edge of Tomorrow thing where death is your only option to reset and death is nigh impossible to avoid even if you run to London or die on the beach.

Let's make it a bit easier for all...and to give options.

You're not guaranteed death like in the Edge of Tomorrow...the day just resets at a certain time like Groundhog's Day.
But, like EoT you're allowed to go anywhere and are not stuck in one town like GD.

    ---

Followup on the Jumper power...I would actually use it to volunteer for NASA and transport myself to Space Station, Moon and other planets for exploration. (making sure it's safe first, like a quick jump/jump)

From my location I would be taking road trips to Boise/Seattle/Portland which are all roughly a 6 hour drive. I would prefer to wake up earlier than the Phil Character - somewhere around 0200 would be nice - so I could decide if I wanted to leave town or just go back to sleep for a few hours.

I also love Patton's Star Wars filibuster on Community.
The scary part is I could see Disney doing it.

  20. Spiderman vs Batman isnt much of a fight. Batman is just a dude who has some high tech gadgets.

How about Dr Manhattan vs Cthulhu?
