Yeah, it's been a while. It promptly went numb and is now very sore, but I don't think it's broken. Thankfully.

    Here's hoping!
I'm using Sleep as Android's free trial. I know I don't sleep well, but I really didn't need to know that I'm in a 14 hour sleep deficit after 4 days of use.

  3. Our server is down at work and that means I don't have much to do. That's ok. I can deal. The worst part is that fucktard doesn't have anything to do and won't sit still or shut the fuck up.

It works over the long run. It helped me with my insomnia considerably.

Okay, maybe working out today with a possibly broken toe wasn't the brightest idea, but the damn thing is like a tiny flipper, so it hardly counts as a toe anyway. I'm just going to ignore my numb right foot.

    I just had an epiphany.

@ZombieSquirrel doesn't really have an annoying office mate at all. Her employers just put her in an office with one wall as a giant mirror, like you do with parakeets so they get fooled into thinking they are not alone.

I've broken my toes more times than I can count. The answer was always taping it to the toe next to it.

Doesn't make it any less painful; but at least it stays out of the way.

  7. How about someone leave me in a room with you. I wonder who would survive?

Yeah, it's taped. I'll ice it when I get home and pop some NSAIDs.

Instant trip to the top of my shit list: go behind my back and get the executive assistant in Administration to design a logo concept in PowerPoint for a project in which I've already created four separate logo designs.

  10. We all know that PPT is the preferred design program for admins.

I remember an internship where they wanted me to design some posters for events, but they didn't have any design programs or photoshop type programs. I was stuck with a CD rom of clipart and PPT. I was actually pretty proud of the finished project considering the limitations.

There wasn't a graphic designer at the parks office, so I wasn't stepping on any toes....I don't think. However, it did boil down to them not having any money (or wanting) to pay for a freelance designer, so they stuck it with the intern. I guess I did steal something from someone.

I suppose the moral of my story is, don't be mad at the Admin. S/he was probably just doing what s/he was told.

But damn the man for putting you both in that position!!!

Totally not mad at the Admin.* It's the project lead that's provoked my rage, and it isn't the first time she's done something asinine like this.

*As an aside, I will say he's taken responsibility for designing a newsletter for our Nursing Department that he has no business handling. He likes it because it's a "creative outlet" for him, even though the finished product routinely looks completely unprofessional. If I could wrench that away from him and take it on myself without screwing up my own already heavy production schedule, I would.

It's one of those days, already. The kind where you're glad when the stupid alarm goes off at 5 just because you're tired of trying to sleep. I hate waking up grumpy. And today requires a lot of metal effort... Testing a 5 year old, Maxwell back to the vet, highly anxious 11 year old client, and a lot of testing.

I say this a lot. Jakarta traffic sucks.

    Ugh.

Didn't sleep well last night, between the cats jumping on me, my toe throbbing occasionally, and getting a sub call right as I was going to sleep. :( I was especially displeased by the last one, as it was for a kindergarten assignment, which I am not going to do, well, ever, but either I'm signed up for all elementary or no elementary.

People who write you'll. Effing gets under my skin. I love you'll! Is that even a word??

You'll (you will) need to be more clear...

    Yes, it is a word.

  18. You'll is a word, but in the context that you're referring, I think they meant y'all. That is a word too. It is a variant of you all.

I heard it a lot in Ohio, Indiana, and Kentucky.

As in, "See y'all back at the holler." I miss my family.

Were you far enough SE in Ohio to have to hear "you'se guys"?

  20. No....I avoided the Eastern side of the state if I could.
