I am constantly at war with myself, how I feel and think on any given day depends on who's winning.

 

I had a similar issue last week after a yawn, @snowy. I'd been lax on my Eloquent Animal lip stuff. Healed it up quickly with the argan and vitamin e oil.
My sinuses are fucked now.

 

Was at a park about a half mile from my house with my girls. Around lunchtime I see a young man come out to the corner talking into his cell phone. Hops into a the back of a vw beetle with two high school girls in it. Vw drives up about fifty yards. He gets out. Trades something small off to a high school boy in an audi. Then hops into another high school kid's car. This girl drives him back to his house 150 yards away. Fucking drug dealer in my neighborhood selling to high school kids. I want to shoot him down. Some of you may have a permissiviness, but it sucks when it's in your neighborhood and it's the kids around you that are buying and taking it.

 

As I mentioned on another thread, accepting a new version of iTunes last week broke the thing. It hasn't worked since.

Error message says I need to reinstall iTunes. Error 7. Web search shows that many people are having the exact same problem.

Seven hours spent today uninstalling, rebooting, reinstalling, etc., etc., etc., including about three hours on the phone to Apple.

Same error messages, over and over again.

Supposedly all the audio files are still there as "My Music" (in my Win7 laptop). Is there another program (something non-Apple) I could use to access them?

This looks like the end of iTunes, at least as far as I'm concerned.

It's not the first time that I've seen a seemingly intelligent company destroy a product with a "new version" that doesn't work.

Indeed, the previous time I was unwise enough to accept a new version of iTunes, it took hours to clean up the mess.

Perhaps "error 7" will be mentioned in the commentary on Apple's bankruptcy hearings.

 

It was painful; but I cut the I-tunes umbilical a couple of years ago. Love my Ipod; but the all controling bug ridden software was intolerable.

I ripped (again) my entire music collection into FLAC and use MediaMonkey to convert it to MP3 (on the fly) and load it onto my Ipod. I believe that it has addons that will work with AAC, if necessary.

 

I don't understand all that (FLAC? AAC?). Do you mean that I only get to keep the music I still have CDs for? Everything I bought through the iTunes Store is now lost?

 

AAC and FLAC are coding formats, MP3 is another one. Anything that you bought from Itunes is probably in AAC format. Finding software that can read and play your Itunes collection should be fairly easy. Windows Media Player 12 should already be on a Win 7 machine and will work as far as playing your collection from the laptop. Loading and managing music on an Ipod without I-tunes is a bit more complex. Apple doesn't make it easy.

Bring up Windows Media Player, point it to your Itunes collection, and see if it works.

Win 7 at home. I-tunes wanted complete, absolute control of all of my music. I wanted it to load my stinkin' Ipod and leave everything else alone. I won; but it was not an easy product to remove or replace.

 

The sore throat and headache has turned into what my dad so eloquently calls 'the creeping crud'.
Needless to say I am not a happy camper.

my laptop decided that 13 seconds after i flipped it open was the optimal moment to auto shutdown and install new windows updates. 20 minutes later, here i am.

 

Ah. Mine was outside, wrapping around the corner to the inside. Like a Joker split. I used to pack some neosporin on it when it happened while I was on Accutane. The anemoi absorbs quickly and stops the bleeding while softening the edges so they don't tear more. Sucks balls, I hope you were able to find something to help.

I hate when people project adult views and intentions onto kids' behaviors. It passes me off to no end. I feel a blog brewing, but I need to calm down first.
