    I think managing people is a calling, and I just haven't been called. I'm pretty OK at it, but it's the one part of my job I could do without. It often brings me to the brink of screaming "FUCK!" right at my desk, and walking out.

    In other news, I start the final year of my degree next Monday. I'm carrying one module over from last year that, even after requesting a re-mark, I failed miserably. Apart from the additional cost (which will come out of my pocket, not part of the company sponsorship), it also means another 3 months of learning that I need like a hole in the friggin head.

    My husband took our giant thing of Kirkland Signature maple syrup to make pancakes for friends. I'm pissed because that shit is expensive and these guys don't know the difference between the good stuff and Log Cabin, so what's the damn point in wasting our Grade A Dark Amber from Canada on them? And now I can't have pancakes for lunch because there is no syrup.

    First time playing Oregon Trail in years...and everyone died, except for me and one of my cats.

    The apartment is a wreck by my standards, and I need to clean it. Whether my body will let me is another question.

    Ugh. It is just not my day. My husband does not understand that it's not okay to be an hour late getting home one night and expect to go out with the guys again the next, especially when it's a drive to get there, there is drinking involved, and I'm sick.

    Instead, I'm getting an earful about how I never want to socialize anymore and this is all my fault. WTF. In what universe is this my fault?
