NCAA Bowl/Playoff season discussion

I actually debated on flying down to Dallas for the Championship game.


Until I saw that tickets on Stubhub start at about $700 for nose bleed seats. Combine that with a flight, hotel, etc. and it'd be a $2000 trip just to go to a football game.

 

Decided we need new Ducks gear for the game Monday.


I rationalized that that is much cheaper than flying to Dallas and spending a grand per ticket.

I probably would've went with something that had a green jersey. Maybe green and black with yellow numbers and a chrome helmet. Something more obnoxiously Oregon.

But there is something to be said for the nice clean look they went with.

My buddies that are the season ticket holders I go to Oregon games with just sent pics of their seats.

 

The Ducks need to step it up.

 

No kidding. The D-line needs to make some plays. They are getting dominated.

 

Not converting on 3rd is really hurting the Ducks. I hope this drive goes somewhere.

 

Ugh. Horrible first half. And to think that half the country was whining that Ohio State didn't even deserve to be in the playoff...

 

Now keep doing that, Oregon.

 

Well that was very nearly an oh shit moment.

 

How anyone on Oregon could do that after the Arizona game is beyond me.

All I have to say is congrats to Ohio State and their fans.

They shut the doubters up, or should've. I think most people thought Alabama and Oregon were the best two teams as of 3-4 weeks ago. Ohio State beat Alabama fair and square to show they belonged in the playoff. They dominated Oregon tonight. No excuses, Ohio State played the better game and earned the win. Kudos to them. I'm disappointed obviously, but the Ducks still had a great season. Congrats OSU.

 

I was surprised by that outcome. The Ducks never seemed to gain any traction in the game, and they dropped several opportunities to really change momentum in their favor.
