Yes, I'm repeating myself. Using porn as a "measuring standard" can be misleading. The guys is pro porn are hired for thier size. Yes, other abilities are also important, but size definately matters. In amateur porn (when you can find actual amateur porn, not pro porn staged to look like amateur porn) most of the guys willing to get in front of the camera have something to show off.


My strictly unscientific conclusion based on what I've read & heard:
Many (note that I didn't all or most) guys on the average or below average size--even those comfortable with their size, and/or those who know that they have other skills that please their partner(s)--would not object to having a larger penis.

Oh shit, the "cute" "compliment" brings back bad memories. In my mind cute translated to "I can't think of any nice to say about your cock." Even with the follow-up, "What? It really is cute." "Cute" was not what I wanted to here, even if the sex turned out great.

I'd be less cautious in that assertion. If God offered to modify penis sizes, say plus or minus 10%, a clear majority of men would accept a larger one. Very few would want a smaller one.

 

Me neither. I don't mean to be totally negative, some of my casual sex encounters (limited, which I've previously admitted) were with women who liked me and seemed ready to "go with the flow" so to say. And unless a woman made it clear that I was in charge, I was always open to suggestions.

 

I had a similar problem, and honestly had it until only a few months ago. I measured at some point in my life years ago and got 5" and was rather "meh" about it. I knew I had good girth (5.7) but I was never happy with length, plus when I shrink I SHRINK. So I figured I was below average length for most of my life. I did have a few comments by women claiming it was "big" but I thought it was just them being "polite" dirty talking. Plus at the time the general consensus was that 6" was average.

Turns out I measured wrong, I'm 6.5 in length and really big for girth. So thats great and all, but its not one of those that just stands out as huge, and I can say its made no difference in my sex life, either in dating or as a swinger. Hell if anything, I realize it might be a slight hindrance on the girth side as I have a thing for petite women and one even told my wife "How do you handle that every night?!". (The real joke to me at the time was the "every night" idea heh)

But I'm still a guy and think I'd be happier if I were an inch longer, because well penis.

Isn't it funny that we want what we can't have? 90% of guys would be ecstatic to be either one of us that are already "smaller" yet I want more girth and it will never happen.

 

I'm thankful that in my early teens/puberty years (early '70s) porn wasn't that common, at least not for me. The limited porn to which I was exposed, and later chose as I got older, was mostly nude women, not many blokes. While I certainly like seeing nude women, I've always been a fan of written porn/erotica; I preferred the letters in Penthouse over the photos. Locker rooms, showers, etc. were enough to let me know that I didn't measure up to most other guys (the term below average was created for a reason). I certainly didn't need "porn star dicks" to add to my misery. It wasn't until the popularity of VHS tapes & players that I saw many porn stars in action.

 

I'm not sure at the 90% number, but I've always realized that size is more about the locker room and less about sex. My wife has never turned anyone down for being too small and I don't think I've ever got to have sex with a woman for being bigger.

The more I think about this, the more I think that swinger may not have been a swinger. In our some 13 years of swinging, and my countless hours reading and advising swingers on another forum, never ONCE has this sort of thing come up. I've never seen it, or heard of it even as a joke. It sounds more like the rumors I hear about swingers than actual swinging.
