the dark place with the guy with the flashlight, what was that about????
the black guy with the mask, i cant place him.

  4. It was a flashback. A band of assholes attacked and gained control of Terminus back when it was actually a nice place. They threw the original people into a train car and picked out women to rape when they wanted a good role in the hay. They eventually revolted against those that attacked them and decided to be less naive. They went a little extreme though. I understand not wanting to trust people, but you don't have to eat them.

The flashbacks were a little weird in this episode.

    MORGAN!

    A less crazy Morgan.

This "Terminus" place sounds interesting by the very name alone. It will be interesting to see what it is and how they get there. I am guessing they close the Governor story arc before starting this one.

Oh man, I lurved the flaming walkers!

    ...especially this guy (below).

And there was the Daryl and Carol reunion.

This marked the first time I've shed a tear while watching this show. I blame Daryl. I cannot keep it together when a man cries and he was sobbing.

It was my favourite eppy of this show, ever.
I was surprised because one does not expect that in a show's 5th season (though given how short S1 and S2 are and the 16-eppy seasons the past two years, in standard network terms it has only run for just over two seasons).

Since Terminus needed to be wrapped up quickly, the showrunner tried to do it in the most economical way--with the flashbacks. Zombie Squirrel explained it perfectly.

I have a couple of factoids to add that I confirmed by rewatching episode 1.
The dead dude on the carving slab at the beginning? That was Gareth's brother! He got killed in the season 4 shootout with Rick. Notice how Gareth gave no fucks about him?
Also, Gareth and the same dude are Mary's sons ("Here, have a plate," Mary from the s-4 finale and woman Carol shot in the leg and left for the walkers in this episode).
Both men called her "mom" when in the flashback she was returned to the boxcar after being raped and beaten.
So...Gareth has a rather major beef with Rick's gang beyond the destruction of Terminus.

Yup, the Termites, Terminians, Termanites, or what have you, ended up being some fucked up peeps.

After watching The Talking Dead, I found out the long-haired tattooed guy Rick, Daryl and Glenn rescue from the cargo container was one of the gang of rapists that attacked the Termites.
Also, the blonde dude that was first to get his throat cut was in an episode from last season where Rick and Carol rescue him and his girlfriend. The girlfriend ends up getting eaten by a zombie, and Sam (blondie) disappeared. (Also also, the actor that played blondie is now playing the Penguin in Gotham)

This epi really surprised me in that I figured they would spend half the season locked in the cargo container. I was pleasantly surprised to be wrong.
    Really enjoyed the episode.

Do you remember when the guys escaped from the slaughter room? They saw a bunch of walkers trying to bust into a cargo container, and Rick was hesitant to intervene until Glenn said they were still the good guys and it's what they do.
The long-haired guy was kinda out of his mind after they busted him out, and before they could calm him down, a walker attacked him.

  12. I know people asked why they didn't just kill him. I think they wanted him to suffer more.

I also wonder if they think they're doing people a favor by killing them. They're too weak to do what needs to be done to survive, so they're doing a mercy killing....and then eating them. Am I sick because I totally get that?

Yeah, I can see them keeping them alive to prolong their agony, because of what they did to their original selves.
But I don't think they're too weak now. Just warped. Then they took it a step further and reasoned that they needed food to survive and what better way to get it than luring in unsuspecting travelers looking for sanctuary?
I mean, it's a brilliant plan, if you can get over the eating of human flesh part.
If they could've lured in animals with signs, Terminus would've been a great place. :p

    Also, yes, I think you're sick, @ZombieSquirrel . That's why you're a zombie. ;)

Possible spoiler if you haven't seen series 4
    Series 4, Episode 2

The addition of these two girls looks promising, maybe they are trying to compensate for replacing the twins in the source material with the Sophia girl. Their dad did look like a useless character long term.
Herschel pulls off the George Carlin look with the hair quite decently I think.

Edit: How are all of these cars so shiny and new this far into the apocalypse? This Dodge in episode 3 looks way too pretty even if it was borrowed directly from a deserted car dealerhip. Almost as if the sponsors showcasing their merchandise available now for the viewers to buy wants them to look pristine.....oh wait.
They should show a proper Mustang in one of these, that would be a mid-late 60's or mid-90's model in my opinion.

    Ooh....

The Governor is back finally. That brief glimpse at the end is promising.
Yet more thinning the herd of extraneous cast members, looks like a purge before we move to a new location after an eternity at the prison. I do prefer the graphic novel ending there where the prisoners fought back, took over, and made them leave at gunpoint much earlier than this point.
Carl is showing more of his badass side firing the assault rifle at the zombies that broke through the fence, definite improvement.
I expect more blood and gore next episode and some major developments that happen outside the prison.

...And I still want to know what this "Terminus" place is, sounds like a large city fortified transportation terminal which makes sense in the hyper security world we live in. But such a place has not been mentioned yet, presumably because we are still stuck in the bloody prison for the 30 or 40th episode now.

Series 4, Episode 6 "Live Bait"

Nice change of pace and refreshing to see the Governor's more humane side after the events at Woodbury.
These new characters are good fresh blood that hopefully become just that to the walkers after contributing their bit to the story. I would dispose of the two sisters first and then finish the young girl in a gruesome fashion (via walkers and other methods, a bit of variety is good for kills), but stretch it out over two episodes at least.
The Governor is still hotter than a two dollar pistol for obvious reasons in the eyes of the group living in the prison, and I suspect they will be a significant factor in his death when that does happen.
