Businesses that are only open while I'm at work.

Selling to the unemployed wouldn't seem to be a good business model.

 

About 30 years ago many small retailers in Houston would stay open late on Thursday nights. Sadly most of them are now out of business. I've often wondered about antique stores that aren't open on Sundays. When do most busy people have time for leisure shopping/antiqueing? Sundays.

 

I was going to post the following in another thread (guess which one), but decided to post it here instead.


I was active on a large & very busy forum where 90% of the guys were working joes, the overall education level of the members wasn't that high. BTW & FTR, that's not a criticism, it's just a fact. Most of the guys are intellignet, just not formally educated. They are the kind of folks you wouldn't mind having as neighbors, they'd help you put up a fence, and the only payment they'd expect would be a couple of cold beers.

One guy (I'll call him LW for Lawyer Wannabe) there was in law school, and he liked to show off his "education & intelligence." I, and others, respected the fact that LW earned his four year degree and decided to pursue a law degree. What I didn't like was his constant threadjacking in an attempt to turn just about everything into a legal debate. Many people encouraged LW to find some legal forums where he could better use his "education & intelligence" to debate with law students, paralegals, attorneys, etc. One member (that I know of, there were probably others) even posted a long list of legal forums for LW to try. LW hung around that forum for many years.

 

Anyone who tells me that their laptop, computer, phone, facebook has been hacked. No it hasn't, you left it out without a password/logged into your account.

Hackers don't give a fuck about you and there isn't as many out there as Fox News wants you to believe.

 

Or you were stupid enough to download something nasty without having the proper protection.
Had to help a lady at the library with that.
She'd turned off the firewall because it kept stopping her from doing things.
I'm like, well now you really can't do things.

 

People who park their cars in the handicapped parking with no tags anywhere, or have one person leave the car running while the rest run into a store. Those that just want the extra room in wheelchair/scooter stall. If you don't need those bars and features seems there is little reason to park one's ass there. Pomposity in temperament is a pet peeve of mine. We're all in this world together which gives us common ground and equal footing in my eyes.

This is true, unfortunately, too many people are inconsiderate morons....
My motto is "TRY" to do the right thing....again sometimes, unfortunately, it's not possible.

 

One more, what is the reasoning for moving to the right, to make a left turn....you nearly hit me you asshole
