Lying in the space between sleep and wakefulness I figured out the next turn this story will take.

    Don't die from anticipation, @hamsterball.

You already know that you have me dangling on a string, @snowy. And I'm pretty sure that you enjoy it that way. ;)

I'm prepared to wait as long as it takes, my dear.

Well, I wrote it, but I can only hope it's as hot on the page as it was in my head.

It it sprang from your creative mind, dear @snowy, the only question is how hot it is. I have complete confidence in your ability to capture the the emotions of the story and relay them effectively. I'm sure you'll be sending us into the throes of literary ecstasy.

Well, some kind of ecstasy. I don't hope for it to be literary.

And never forget that the first purpose of all art is to evoke an emotional response. I have no doubt that you will.

My Ubuntu installation tells me how much of the battery is left on my wireless keyboard without me doing anything at all. Windows just rolls its eyes and goes "yeah right" , never even thought about looking to see if Logitech offers a program for that.

And here is a fine sample of a "quality shot" from the same roll unedited. This didn't happen with my TMAX 100 roll through the same camera.

I had the hardest time this morning going to work.
Not only was it soon after my loss...lots of time on the train to think...

But I was very worried about my other dog...it's the first time she's been alone all her life.
    I hope she does well.
Thank god, I've got the dogwalker...and I'm coming home earlier.

I need to determine if she'll do alright by herself...or I may need to get another. (which is too soon for me though)

Sorry, "it's just a dog" folks...I think of my pets as something more akin to family and children. That's just me. But that's my choice.

Really sorry for your loss, rouge49. They are just like family members. I don't think you have to apologize in anyway, to anyone.

It's never "just" an anything when it's your pet.

I just got a massage. I'm in nor pain than before she started. But, a muscle relaxer and a beer and hopefully I won't rebound.
